Yeah it's a terrible trade. Shoulda at least got a 2nd out of it, but notable RFA trades were Zinger and Oubre. Zinger obviously brought back picks while Oubre didn't. Zu would have been a nice piece next to AD if we held onto his trivial 1.9m caphold, since AD prefers to play the 4 spot anyways. If you look at the free agent class that were shooters last summer, none were really available on 1yr stop gap deals. So bypassing that last summer in free agency was understandable. But having access to BLo & TB and passing on them for Moe, Mus and Zu (who clearly wasn't in our plans) is bizarre and our FO f***ed up on that for sure. The only thing we can hang our hat on is maybe Nawlins didnt value Zu and instead of matching any offers he would have gotten in free agency, we pull off the rare trade with the cLips to keep him home (#PlayerRelations) and go target DJ or keep McGee this summer if/when we trade for AD. Otherwise, our handling of all this was a fail. I'd still cut Mus to open up 2 spots and then bring in Kieff and Melo...and hope for the best.
what the hell was the point of the zubac trade anyways? to get a stretch 5? when the so called stretch big cant even make shots. wtf zubac was up and coming to be a very solid player. I'm wondering if magic and rob know what the hell they are doing. that's wonderful if they try to get the big names but when it comes to filling out the roster, complete crap
