Why do you think he's consistent? http://m.espn.com/nba/playergamelog?playerId=3134907&season=2019&month=1 We never know what we he from him. He'll go for 30 or 40 pts and follow it up with 10 pts. That is not consistent. I can agree that he's the most explosive out of our kids, but Ball and Ingram have a more complete game (ie ball-handling, play-making, defense) and are better basketball players.
I admire players that will play hurt so they don't let their team down. There are star players that won't even do that.
Kuz mostly has those down games when coming back from injury where he's been out for a while. You're looking at his recent numbers where he's been injured over the past month or so, but look at his December numbers when he wasn't hurt. Kuz is usually good for about 16-20pts a game with some of those big 30 or 40pt games here and there. We aren't at all on the same page about Ball and Ingram Vs Kuz, so I'm not going to argue. I don't think they're better. Ball lacks mental toughness, and Ingram has too little adaptability in his game to get buckets in the flow of the offense. I think Kuz will eventually be an All Star. Ball and Ingram may get there, but I'd bet on Kuz way before them.
I still think Ingram has the most potential. The guy only averages a point less per game and he does so on a much higher percentage. Defensively, its not even close. Ingram's biggest weakness is, as you pointed out, can't score in the flow very well. But Kuzma is probably the better fit right now for the team, and his salary is 1/3 of Ingram's and we can sign a third star with him on the roster. So given the choice I keep Kuz. But if we end up keeping Ingram, it may end up being a blessing in disguise.
I'm not too far off on agreeing with that. I think any of the 3 might pop, I've just seen more from Kuz to convince me.
In his current shape he is borderline useless. We don't need Kuz scoring 12 points along with 1 rebound shooting 3-10. I would prefer to rest him if he is hurt.
Let him rest till after the all star break or he's moved to NOH. He's doing more harm than good out there
They are both good for sure. I don't see how our offer was unacceptable though. Maybe we dodged a bullet after all.
When he was open for that 3 that Ingram found him for, you could just feel it was going in, even with LeBron calling for it in the corner BI made the right pass. What a game, he caught fire and balled out, we needed every bit of it.
we definitely dodged a bullet and as a bonus NO's feels like a bunch of idiots today. And we didn't have Ball playing either.
Tatum plays better D, is a better shooter and is 3 years younger. Still, huge threes this game...Glad to see them goin in tonight.
Tatum may be more efficient, he’s definitely a well rounded player, but I enjoy Kuzma’s explosive scoring ability. To say that Tatum is THAT much better than a Kuz is a stretch, let alone, packaged with BI and Ball. But that’s okay, we kept our kids and gonna steal Kyrie next year.
