It doesn’t make sense to me for a few reasons...

- Tatum - Ha. Everyone knows Kyrie is going to NYC. Isn’t it a bit odd both Kyrie/KD got super defensive in the media at the same time when the Knicks got cap space? The secret is getting out and spreading. Kyrie won’t be a C bag next year. Which means no Tatum in the deal for an AD rental.

- Smart - Solid player. Fear is he has some Lance Stephenson after the Pacers sent him packing where his game falls apart without that system. Still would take him though. I like him.

- Williams - The headcase that can’t make it too meetings on time. Nah.

- Horford - 30 million player option that he would have to opt in to get traded to the Pelicans. At 33 he can still pull another 2-3 contract. I don’t see him opting in for this.

- Up to 3 first round picks - We’ve been over this. These are nothing special and have to be made prior to the trade. Yea not moving the needle.

Also this deal would be dumping 50 million on the Pelicans to get 27 back in AD. Sorry but no.

I dont blame magic/rob for trying to trade for AD but I do believe they did get played and hard and anybody who believe thats garmbardo guys tweet is nuts. You really think Ainge is going to commit to any offers to Pelicans? Dude is not stupid, a lot can change between now and July, Ainge doesn't look like an idiot to me and only idiot would commit to anything right now.

 

I’ve heard conflicting info on who actually leaked the demand.

Even if Rich Paul did I don’t think that’s any different from any other time a player has wanted to be traded other than we are involved.

And don’t get me wrong, I agree that the public nature of this hadn’t helped. But I don’t think the levels it’s gone to here is on us.

C bags fans/NBA media main argument is both Tatum and Brown shined in the playoffs and contributes to a team winning games while Lakers kids didn't make it and don't.

They are not wrong ... but the Least level , C bags building a real team and having an elite coach are part of the explanation.

Let's be honest we have been a very crappy organization for a while and our young "already flawed" talent is paying the price .

pels forced to trade AD to LA for a lesser offer

that's our best scase scenario

 

Or we get him outright in 2020. AD will remember we were the only ones who respected him with an over the top offer.

 

I would honestly love it if:

- Kyrie left for nothing.
- NY got the number 3 pick.
- NOP got left with nothing.

All at once, knowing that there own stupidity cost them this.
