Anthony Davis Discussion: Only Player On Both All NBA + All Def

I am actually convinced that if the stuff Woj is reporting is true, the only way we get Davis is via free agency in 2020. The reports paint the picture that the Pelicans are moving the goalpost back every day this drags on. The offer we are presenting is better than anything the C Bags can realistically do. Magic needs to stop engaging with children and GMs with an IQ of less than 60. Like I said, if we flip Lonzo for a Top 3 protected Phoenix first rounder, and route that with two of our own first rounders WITH Kuzma, Ingram and Zubac to the Pelicans, that is a HAUL. You could make the argument that just Ingram and Kuzma alone, with NO ONE else is better than anything the C Bags can realistically offer.

I say screw it. Walk away Magic. Try to flip Zubac, Hart and a couple second rounders for Vucevic or something, then call it a day. Roll with Vucevic/Lebron/Kuz/Ingram/Ball. I still think that team can make some noise in the playoffs if it can get in. Vucevic would FEAST with Lebron and Zo setting him up.

The thing is that the Pels only leverage in this deal is that Boston is waiting with a bag of assets on July 1st...

The problem is if the Lakers get pissed and move on...the Pels will have NO LEVERAGE AT ALL against Boston and will get fleeced by Ainge.

Yeah. My dream scenario is Kyrie walks to us; the C Bags can't offer up Tatum since he is all they have so they offer Brown, Smart and draft picks. Pelicans get screwed. C Bags can't even get to the ECF because they are having to play a resigned Rozier and Hayward heavy minutes next to AD and the completely overrated Tatum. We then do a sign and trade with the C Bags where they have to take Hart and Lonzo in a sign and trade so they don't lose AD for nothing. We then roll out an end game lineup of AD/Lebron/Kuzma/Ingram/Kyrie.
