I believe I read a tweet or multiple the other day that teams don’t like dealing with Rob, whether it’s true or not who knows. It was something along the lines of him being a former agent, rival agents don’t want their players going to his team now, or don’t want to deal with him. Teams don’t like that he used to be close to players and has relationships there other GMs might not have, stuff like that. So who knows, but it’s clear a lot of serious hate is going on. As far as Klutch, yeah, teams hate that LeBron has an agency run through his best fiend and that a player has this much power, they can’t stand it.

Edit: to add to the Rob stuff, look at how Mintz dealt with us regarding Randle this offseason, it was a joke.

If you can get vucevic and beal while keeping zo and BI, do it. Screw AD and capspace.

So apparently Demps agreed with the trade but ownership stopped it? That next GM about to get thrown in with the wolves.

Also can we stop getting blamed for why small market teams suck? This AD situation is why you guys suck. We’ve offered the house and now you want a backyard pool too? Stay homeless then. Boston coming around summer and taking your cardboard box.

Time to move on from these jokers, when they trade him for peanuts their fans can be happy.

Oh well. I said before I wanted Beal, so I hope Magic is moving on to plan 2.

I doubt Washington would be this stupid.

I’ve seen it brought up multiple times now, but I’ll bring it up here. If this is how the league is going to deal with the Lakers, then Jeanie needs to bring up revenue sharing at the next meeting of the owners. They’re perfectly happy benefiting from our large market and popularity, but they refuse to deal fairly with us. First PG with that a-hope Pritchard, then Kawhi with surly old Pop, now the Pelicans with Ferry and their higher ups and wouldn’t you know it, some Pop again.

One thing which really comes to my mind regarding the A.D situation :
Do you think Magic already knows he's going to strike out this summer as he's willing to sell the house for A.D ?

I don’t think that’s what this is. What it looks like is probably a combination of things. LeBron got tired of watching our youth play like garbage while he was out, Davis may have felt the same way and reportedly sees ownership more invested in football than basketball. So, instead of waiting for summer or for 2020, LeBron, Rich Paul, and AD say let’s get this done now behind the scenes. If anything it appears our FO had to scramble to try and get this done since it presented itself. It’s entirely possible a big name free agent still wants to become a Laker this offseason, but once this is out there after Davis already switched to Klutch and LeBron and he are having dinner together, we could see this coming a mile away, so Magic of course has to try and take advantage. That’s what I see anyway. But as others have brought up, we have multiple other paths to go than free agency. Portland might take “the house” offer for Lillard, or as also brought up, maybe you can do smaller separate deals for Beal/Vucevic and try and make a playoff run this season.

F*CK NOP. 3 young promising players, 3 bench players, multiple draft picks for one AD, who haven't been even close to leading his team anywhere? F**K them again!

If they'll really complete this with 2 more firsts I do it, just because this is a 25 year old AD and not an injured Howard or Nash. But I'm getting the vibe Demps wants to get fleeced by Ainge instead of give into Klutch and put the Lakers back into contention. In that case we have other plan Bs to pursue.

Im getting LOL's not from the Pels or C Bags fans... but from the Dubs. These f***ers were scared to death, hyping up Tatum like he was the second coming of Jesus. Saying Knicks would trade Zion for AD with no hesitation etc.

Doesn’t seem to me they do want to do it. Seems to me if the reports are true they want to keep upping the asking price until we walk away and then they can say, “hey, we tried”. This isn’t negotiating in good faith, it’s stringing one side along to up offers from elsewhere, or just to ruin our trade deadline and what we could be doing in other areas. Feels extremely petty and vindictive, again, same as the Pacers situation.

I want the Lakers to be the one to pull the plug on this...

I want the league to know that we don't need to make this trade right now and we'll take our chances in the summer.

Let the Pelicans get screwed by the C Bags. They deserve it at this point.

This is VASTLY different from Pacers situation. Pacers we didn't offer Ingram or the 2nd pick...our offers were Randle/Clarkson/picks for PG13.

We've literally offered everything we've got AND MORE on top of that.

If we do need to offer 3 picks...or 4...take out one young player or take out Solomon Hill...or BOTH...and you have a deal.

I just meant it feels the same in how outraged the Pacers management was that George asked to be traded to LA and how they didn’t want to give him what he requested. The league/other owners were also mad at that time about a player demanding a trade to LA.
