I think the offer reported today is slightly overpaying but definitely worth doing to get AD right now. In fact, if it came down to it and we could get the deal done by throwing in Zubac, Hart, or another first round pick (one of the three), I’d probably do it.

But from a negotiation point of view, let the current offer sit. If New Orleans comes back with a counter then consider it. But if the sense is that New Orleans isn’t serious then I wouldn’t waste energy trying to come up with more creative multi-team proposals to take to them. Instead, let New Orleans know firmly that this offer expires at the deadline. We need to go all in with our cap space, don’t play games by trying to stay in negotiations with New Orelans come July 1st.
