But you would watch elements of your new core and how you could even possibly flip them for an All-Nbaer down the pike.

If you shut AD down for a holding pattern into the summer and don't hit on a monster package, then good luck in getting the trust back from your fanbase.

There's more risk daring Rich/AD to play nice and not use guerilla tactics to strongarm them in the summer than it is to play Ball with them now and bypassing possible offers later.

I think the trade package was released by them to show how much more they extracted from the original "low-ball" offer.

I also find it revealing that the Times reported on planning to stretch Hill this summer. Why broadcast that? It's almost like they're telling free agents and their representatives that we'd be able and willing to open up cap for those that want to really want in and sacrifice their true max for a year to come play with Bron & AD. Or it could the Pels telling the Lakers that you can stretch dude is y'all really need the extra cap. Either way, I still think Moore is in play for us.

Rondo, KCP, PG, Bron, and McGee -- solid defensive teams with KCP and PG balancing the space.

Then the kids: Zo, Hart, Ingram, Kuz, Zu. Would have been a very fun second unit to watch, while growing under Bron, PG, and Rondo.

With Bonga, Svi, Bogner getting minutes and growing with all that talent around them.


Could have competed for a chip this year, grown and developed our young talent around superstars, AND added a player like Kyrie, Klay over the summer, or traded the kids for AD after they padded stats running more against second teams.
