Our deal we proposed was everything they asked for, some would say even too much. If they don't want that then just move on, have fun with the idea of possibly getting Tatum in the summer.

You can stretch as many players as you want as long as their accumulated dead cap does not take up more than 15% of the cap in the season you stretch that player.

So far we have Deng's 5m dead cap this coming summer. Stretching Hill without a buyout would lead to about 4.3m in additional dead cap. The salary cap is set to be 109m, so that allots us about 16.4m in stretched dead capspace this summer and we'd be safely within those bounds with 9.3m in projected dead cap.

Same guy who tweeted that, on the proposed BT trade

So their beat writer wants Zo, BI, Kuz, Hart, Zu, Rondo, 2 first round picks, and salary relief in us taking Hill. Greedy much? There’s a godfather offer and then there’s what he’s asking for.

How is anything build around Tatum better than what we offered, is beyond me. I tend to let my emotions take over but if im Magic, im taking one of Kuz, Zo, BI off the deal and replacing them with Hart.
Good luck to that lady owner, she has money but still employs some morons, och well.
Nothing will happen guys, moving on and keeping fingers crossed for some HEALTH finally.

So we stretch Solomon Hill's 13.2M over 3 years...4.3M cap hit?

So that would open up about 9M in additional cap space....so about $29M in cap space with 109M cap with the following on the books:

    LeBron 37.4
    AD 27.1
    Deng 5.0
    S Hill 4.3
    Wagner 2.1
    Hart 1.9
    Bonga 1.4
    Svi 1.4

    Total: $80.6M
    Cap: 109M
    Cap Space: $28.4M

    Is this right Vash?

Just randomly took a video to remind myself how much I want this guy here. Imagine having him in this organization. Guys like Kareem working with him ...

This guy is an idiot...subbing out beasley and stephenson for hart and zu wouldn't work cap wise...if the Pelicans want us to take back Solomon Hill, we literally have to include Stephenson and Beasley to make it work under the salary cap rules.

Unless they want to take back 9 players and waive half their players...

Yep...but that's practical cap space. You still have to incorporate that pesky incomplete roster charge (about 900k per empty roster slot). We would have 6 (5.4m) if we renounce Zu as a RFA (his caphold is 1.9m)...so it would make it closer to 23m in available cap space.

    Thx Chief!

I guess a guy like Butler (will have a slow market this summer) or even Kyrie (playing with AD and also reunion with Bron) doing a 1+1 would be possible?

I think we get AD by the trade deadline if not sooner. If New Orleans turns down our supposed offer, then they were never seriously going to trade with us anyhow.
