Yup. Lakers are in Trump mode. Art of the Deal in full effect.

I have a gut feeling AD gets moved to Den....mpj, beasley, murry or harris, milsap, 2 1st for hill/ad

Why would Denver screw up a their chemistry right now for what could be just a rental?

I know it’s AD, but it’s not like they have a LeBron or Kyrie to make him stay.

Please keep politics out of this. I wanted to respond with a joke but let’s not sour the basketball thread. Cool?

Jokic is a great player, but he is no LeBron. And the Nuggets are not the Lakers.

Denver is a threat, but they'd have to worry about Davis bolting.

so? Den after the trade would still have $ to get another solid FA after their trade, they only have 1 true max salary in Jokic..

Detroit if you feel like blowing your team up and sending Blake to New Orleans and Bullock here, we have some young players for you because your team needs a hard reset ASAP.

PS - Do it before the trade deadline

good read--i know very little of that situation. sounds familiar.

i guess it's my bias, but i think NO can't beat the offer that the la beat guy said is on the table. not now, not in july. NO should take it.

Lakers should give NO what they want. This is a 25 year old generational player who hasn't hit his MVP level yet. He will be competing at a top level for a decade. The players you trade for him arent anything close to what he is, combined.

Even after Lebron is done, Lakers wont have a problem reloading with great players with him here.

eh, the argument seems to be that the lakers can't offer enough. i disagree with that. i think their offer is on target: all their stuff right now.

i don't think boston really has the trump card here, as everyone suggests. i mean, jason tatum? THAT'S the issue? c'mon, folks. think how silly that will look in five years. pincus's article quotes a former league exec saying the same as i am: the lakers' offer checks the boxes. refusing it is kinda b******* at this point.

If their only counter is take on a contract and give up another pick, that's a bargain.

I'm fine with that and giving up more of the kids.

Get this over with, give us AD.

I'm just glad it seems NO is more open to negotiations and counters with us.
