Reasons why lakers get trashed in reporting:

• Woj is getting his info from execs who hate the idea of Rich Paul being to so close to LeBron. Let’s face it, the league doesn’t like that LeBron basically owns an agency, and this is the push back we see. But there are no rules against what Bron has currently set up, so kick rocks.
• ESPNs proximity to Boston/NE area
• Execs are threatened and fans think we are undeserving of obtaining superstars.

No one deserves any player, I hate these optics that everyone tries to use. AD wants to be here, so kick rocks anti-laker fans/execs/and especially “journalists” who think they’re execs

obviously magic and rob's first offer isn't going to be everyone all at once. you start small and work your way up. they know damn sure they're going to have to give up the young core to bring AD to LA. you guys really think magic and rob are actually trying to acquire AD by giving away lance and rondo? come on

Btw, let's say they really want us to take on Jrue's contract, we'd need 41m in outgoing salary: Kcp (trade kicker), Lance, Rondo, Beas = 31m
Zo, Kuz and Zu get us to that 41m mark...the rub is the trade becomes a 7 for 2 and the roster spots muck it up, but we have the salary to make it work.

I would take back Jrue if it meant AD... absolutely!

Woj and Shams are clearly getting their info from anti-Laker sources (C Bags maybe?). Possibly a shot at the Lakers FO for not leaking info to them. Or a shot at Rich Paul and LeBron's camp. Either way, it's obvious, given the timing of the leaks, there's a clear agenda by someone here. Especially when it's said that our offers resemble those for Paul George and Leonard? C'mon...

Pelicans pretty much have their pick of the lot. We all know this. No way the Lakers say no to pretty much any combination of young players/picks they ask for. If they aren't interested in the Laker's offers, the only way to do this now is to get a third team involved.

 

We don't include KCP in deals to clear more space next summer or it doesn't matter cap hold wise ?

 

I work in sales, what magic and Rob are doing is exactly what you're supposed to do, which is start with an offer and negotiate. I think us offering 2 of the 3 main core is the right move. My gut feeling it's going to be kuzma, Ingram, Zu, Lance, Beasely and 2 unprotected firsts.

Those are very strange reported early offers. Definitely won't get it done and all parties involved know that.

I think we're trying to find a 3rd team to take on salary for cash.

After paying 1.5m to Philly for the Bonga pick, we still have about 3.7m in cash that we can trade...enough for a Beas buyout and a partial Lance buyout.

If you look throughout the league, OKC is the only team with 2 open roster spots...probably gearing up for buyout season.

So look at the potential buyers on the market: Charlotte, Heat, Minny, Knicks, Suns and Wiz all have one open roster spot.
