For real, the Pelicans come across as very petty. Based on the rules, it was pretty clear AD was the only one who would get in trouble by explicitly having his representation issue a trade request. So Pelicans tatted on their own guy and got him fined. Not a good look for them.

I'm convinced that tampering fines are just the NBA's version of GoFundMe for small market owners to create a new font with. The prototypes to Curse-ive Critalics ain't cheap.

Btw, when's that anti-Laker free agency ban hammer going to strike? Conspiring minds wanna know!

I guess there's no point in "being fair" and telling your team to trade you. It's better to just walk away and leave your old team with nothing.
They should thank AD for being honest, instead they made him pay a 50k fine. Bravo...

Because it’s likely he won’t even be coaching much longer. He had said was going to retire when Duncan and Ginobili did, and he’s about to have one last go with Team USA, and I don’t think much more after that. So if he’s not even gonna be in the league, what’s his purpose in trying to screw us over some more?

when was the last time a player got fined this much for telling a team he wanted to be traded? Paula didnt get it, we got scrubs like Thon Maker demanding trades, no fines. this is AD a top 3 player in the league being tied to the Lakers, if you dont think the rest of the league are going to try their hardest to not let this happen, you cray cray...I bet the league gona look deeper into that James/AD dinner now

This league is going to s***.

Funny thing is, Pop and RC have feasted on the small market franchises with doofus GMs over the years, but now he's a protector.Yeah, right.

Seeing Pop's response on this AD issue, the media pundits still blame Magic for his inability to trade for Kawhi is kind of comical...its like they dont see the obstacles and challenges this team faces that NO other team has to face, we can play hindisght gm with PG too but I have no doubts Pritchard approach in dealing with Magic/Rob was no different than how Pop approach us with Leonard trade

didn't two scrubs just ask to be traded and not get fined?

Was it because his agent went on record vs someone else reported those?

    :KobeConfused:

But yes, scramble and trade your remaining talent for draft picks or a mega trade to try to save your AD relationship right after you fine him $50k

[IMG] That's the kind of thinking I'm talking about!

Julius might be a lil bitter if he gets flipped for draft picks.

    :Magicwow4:

    Franchise sounds like a mess.

Either you're on a deranged anti-jinx wave or you like going into your bag of hopelessness next to your umbrella and boogyman mask.

Obviously there is an anti-Laker sentiment. No one is denying that. But to make it larger than it is seems to be your schtick.

BI's a bust, the Lakers are run by overpretentious lab mice, forget the expirings for 2019 free agency, we got no shooting with the deep crop of shooting that's clearly available headlined by Sniff Young, AD won't be able to join us in free agency, waaaa, booo, waaaa, booo

Maybe you should take the scream mask off and stop scaring folks unnecessaryily haha.

Ownership of the nixed Cp3 deal was in the hands of the league...dope Jimmy/Mitch decided to pull on that trade during that contentious time. Not so smart.

Other than that, the league can't and won't deny AD to LA as long as it's done by the book. Tampering is a part of this league that's been consistently violated. LA is under a scope for sure...but all it's goint to be is a written check, at worst, some future picks...nothing more.

But wil' out...get cray...keep reaching for another conspiracy to scare the nation with...

Just dont be surprised when I call you out on your bulls***. I just got no interest in going back and forth with you on your corn bawl, hypocrazy, waaaacky agenda.

Magic has been fined 2x now, one being done "by the books" and for the LAST time, the banning of AD here is a POSSBILITY not a certainty, all the league has to do is find enough evidence. Now if you want to debate if there's going to be enough evidence than I can live with that but stop your crap...I provided you the Paula story, its possible (its in the RULE BOOKS) all you provided is your lame brain theories/opinion. This trade isn't going to go down IMO, I'll eat crow and bow down to you if it happens and gladly do it.

wouldn't surprise me if the pelicans relocate pretty soon

that's two superstars they've had and failed to build any sort of competitive team around. they acquired cousins a few years ago but then he suffers a major injury. now they're about to blow it all up and who can blame the fans for not wanting to support the team after that

What I want to know is what has the Pels FO been doing for the last 2 or so years, knowing that AD was a flight risk? The big offseason additions were Randle and Elfrid Payton? OK Boggie trade was good but a real gamble and him going down stunk for them, but they actually played better without him. How can you have a payroll that's over the cap with a roster that includes no top flight talent other than Holiday ... who actually makes more than AD?

Point is, Pels problems start in the FO and ownership. Dont blame AD for getting out, that roster is a capped out, not much talent mess.

    Lame brain theories???

    b**** please...

Mistreatment of Jules...what Nawlins doing with oh boy?

We traded DLo to the Nets AFTER Paula wanted out. DLo was on the table, yet Pritchard passed and it had nothing to do with him not wanting to deal with Mintz, right? Yeah let's throw a tampering probe just for good measure.

AD buys a LA house, changes agency that's repped by Bron and yet they tried to convince me that AD to LA was pipe...

I'll take my theories and lame brain back to fantasyland. Y'all can stay bawl'n in reality admiring the cLips for the same plan we already accomplished and believing how the league will prevent free agency cause we're the Lakers.

Forget about eating crow...keep smashin' that sauce, cause Luke is still coach, the Lakers are run by lame, uh pinky brains and there's no hope in sight.

How Pelicans treat Randle doesn't take away from what mgmt/luke did to randle....the part bout Dlo being on the table for PG is exactly what I'm trying to state, "most" teams DO NOT want to deal with the Lakers when it comes to trading elite stars and they will make it as difficult as possible. You keep bringing up the clippers when all I tried to do was pt out that LAC wasnt "lucky" in how they got to where they are now in the cap space race, same with the nets.

This really just seems like the George and Kawhi situation until proven otherwise. A superstar wants to be traded and we are rumored as one of the destinations. Then it comes out that we are not only the preferred, but the player will not sign long term with anyone else. Then comes the talk about how teams do not want to deal with us, and shortly after they are traded elsewhere.
