Also, dont lose sight of the fact that AD bought a house last year in Westlake. Not Malibu or the Palisades. Although very nice and fancy, it's the type of place/ location that one lives in, not comes to for vacations.

If we dont get AD, I would welcome this deal. Klay would last 4 months, then sign with LAL and Dray would blow up the locker room before he gets traded in the offseason.

So as of today, we know that AD wants LAL. Now it's just a matter of whether NOH wants to deal now or wait on the c-bags in July. NYK or any team that gets Zion aka #1 pick won't deal Zion for a rental.

Pretty much AD has to come out and say strongly that its LA or bust for us to have any chance of getting him now versus the summer.

Even with the Joe Smith tampering probe, Joe's Minny contracts were voided, the Wolves were fined and stripped of 5 successive lottery picks and Glen Taylor was suspended...

And even with all of that, Joe was not denied to sign with the Wolves again. Of course he didn't and chose Detroit, but the point is, he was not denied to sign with the Wolves again if he wanted to.

The Paula threat was just that...a threat. There is no precedence in today's NBA where a player was denied their free agency by the league. Of course a team could deny a player's unrestricted free agency if the player was a restricted free agent, but I'm not going to go down that path with you again.

 

Absolutely. At the very least he could step in and shut down the other people meddling here.
