All true... if it wasn't the Lakers. We get different set of rules than the rest of the NBA.

That’s 8 players though, how would we even field a full roster? We’d have like 9 or 10 players after that. I also don’t think NO can take in 8 players ha ha.

    I have a feeling ... it's happening. But I guess it can't be more than 5 players.

Ingram, Ball, Kuz (I hate it but see ya), ZU, KCP, all the picks they can have.

    Rondo
    Hart
    LeBron
    AD
    MCGee

Ring Chasers and stuff ... we could be a threat this year.

Ehhh. I certainly wouldn’t put it past the league to fine Davis or Paul.

Couldn’t Ingram sign an extension and then be traded with a higher value, so we don’t need KCP to sign off on a trade?

I don’t think it will go that far but again, I can see some fine just because it’s us.

If we give BI an extension this summer and then trade him, he'll be considered a BYC poison pill contract (ie he counts as 20m+ as incoming salary to the Pels, but will only count as 7.3m in outgoing salary for us). As you can imagine, it really mucks up any viable trade configurations/possibilities, which is why it's called a poison pill contract.

I think we hold off on offering BI an extension and just have NOP do it so that they can control what type of contract they want to give him (see Houston extending Harden after the Okc trade).

Also a few pages back, I detailed a revisit to the initial 3team deal that involves Houston (who was rumored to be interested in Kcp) and the Pels.

even if you gave him an ext. his current base salary will be counted towards the cap not his future salary

I don’t think we’d have to worry about KCP vetoing a trade that would unite Lebron and AD. Pretty sure Rich Paul would convince him to go with it.

My question is...why wouldn't he approve a trade to the Pelicans?

He would certainly get starter's minutes there as they don't really have a shooting guard currently?

This is why I didn't want him to do this. Unless he gets traded before the deadline, it's almost no chance he is a Laker this summer. These f***ers are pigs. All these f***ers. I hope they all rot in hell.
