When you aren't willing to take on long term contracts, the options become very limited very quickly. But I heard Stephon Marbury might be available.
Nobody is buying this 4-6 weeks timeline BS ... LFR on his podscast said he expected him to be out probably 10 weeks , back 1st week of April , Darius Soriano agreed .
Yeah, he's not coming back any time soon. I mean, if he does, great, but I don't think he will. We'll see how Rondo/BI works as our PG rotation. Bron should make it easier too, but we'll miss Lonzo.
I think if you have a shot at getting DSJ without giving up much....that's as good of a piece as you can get and he can absolutely be used in an AD package later on as well...
all I'd give up for DSJ is a 1st and salary fillers, so maybe a kcp/lance for Mathews/DSJ...saves Dall some $ and an asset they dont have for the upcoming draft
I think you are better off giving up Hart than a first. Teams (ie Pelicans) like first rounders because it's the unknown. Also, Hart is a nice fit next to Luka: a guard who plays tough D and doesn't need the ball in his hands to be successful.
I agree that his D will be missed. But overall there is a case to be made that Rondo is the better overall player right now. and he is just coming back. Of course having both is better. When fighting for the playoffs and taking veteran leadership into consideration, Rondo certainly has an edge on Ball anyways.
Ya'all are going to miss his D? (This is what happens when hope to watch decent basketball starts to slip. *Sigh*)
At this point, Josh Hart has more value than DSJ. DSJ has beena one trick pony (crazy athleticism) and really doesn't contribute much else. DSJ provides some potential to break out still, but DSJ isn't going to give us anything unless it facilitates the AD trade.
Problem with dsj is his preferred style of play. He wants to be Francis/marbury, but we're two decades past that.
Well if he had decent range, he'd be Damian Lillard. The problem is that he doesn't shoot it well enough.
Garbage, that's exactly what he was doing before he went down with the ankle sprain. So sick of these anonymous hits on our players from people who don't even watch the games.
It's a pity he went down. Last year too. Don't want to jump to conclusions, but....With Rondo also being injury prone, it's not good news. We need ball movers out there, more then one.
Their going to be extremely careful with him, and they should be. We do miss him, though. I'd feel very confident if he was healthy heading into the PO's; we'd be set to make a very nice push.
