An offensive system with LBJ will NEVER look good without shooters. talk about it all you want. Kuz works ok from 2 , Hart is ok from 3 and will do betttrif Luke gives him a chance, Ingram is whatever, good from mid 2 but we need real outside shooting. Svi may never pick up the game, then again, rook, who knows. This is a demo year with LBJ as precious as his nba life may be, we have to not be impatient. Players we have now may be stars next year, these kids are moving quick.

It is only a matter of time until he is gone.

at this point i don't think firing luke would make a difference but are some of you really that anti-lebron that you'd want luke to stick around just to spite him?

luke sucks as a head coach. and we all knew about lebron's antics when it comes to wanting "his guy" coaching the team. this shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone (assuming its true.) the only problem with this and the reason why i don't think firing luke would make a difference now is because there are no decent candidates out there to replace him with. mark jackson is basically it. unless you're counting the same old recycled coaches like SVG

Yes, he likely should be gone, but firing him now doesn't change anything. I would wait until the end of the season. And look at someone like Jay Wright as a replacement.

Problem is what successful coach at a major college program wants to give that up on the chance that Lord James will like him still after the first 6 months?

Ruh roh. Yeah, I've been saying for a while now that I don't see Walton coaching a Lebron led team in the future. I don't love that his "camp" is leaking this now, particularly, though. I still think a coaching change now isn't a great look. But this guy's time here is limited and he doesn't want to mess around. It's pretty clear to me given his rotations and his lack of an identifiable offensive system that Luke is fighting an uphill battle here, especially since he wasn't hired by Magic and Rob.

As I've said before, too, I liked the Walton hire for the kids and I think he's done a decent job with them. But with Lebron I believe the stakes are just too high and they will make a change sooner or later. Unless we actually make it far in the playoffs if Walton sticks around that long. If by some miracle we make it to the WCF or have a good showing in the second round of the playoffs that could be enough to save his job as it would be overachieving. A first round exit or second round sweep though seals his fate IMO. If we miss the playoffs entirely he's absolutely gone and rightfully so.

My feeling is that overachievement you mention was on course to happen if only ..... the injury gods had smiled on us this year.

When your team looks lost without Lonzo, Lebron or Rondo on the floor, you really don’t have a system.

Luke gets waaaay too much hate. Everyone complains about the offensive system that he runs and how we can't seem to run it. Maybe that's because Maginka gave him personnel that was just about the worst fit possible for that system. So switch systems you say? To what? What system works when you have zero post players and zero 3 point shooters? Please try to come up with a system that can incorporate 12 guys who can't shoot consistently from further than 15 feet.

That's a joke right? Watch some film. Just the changes in defensive rules alone since then make that statement a bit odd to hear. Joe Dumars, Gary Payton, Lattrel Sprewell, Terry Porter, Reggie Lewis, all played MJ tight and with a lot of hands on. Hell the bad boys made the man a target. Payton has said he was fouling MJ in the playoffs and the refs were letting it go. There is NO way that stuff is happening with the golden beard.

Why do you always conveniently forget we’ve also beaten the Warriors, Thunder, Nuggets, and Spurs as well?

We’ve lost some we should have won and won some we should have lost

Do I care if Luke's gets fired? I like him, but I think he will survive.

Am I concerned that we hire a coach worse than Luke? Yes.

But I will that chance; and if we wind up with Mark Jackson, I'll glady eat crow.
