I mean, it's pretty clear he fouled him before he went up for the shot.

Yes, and that did not matter to them (the refs), but the fact that Westbrick was going up for the game-tying 3 did. Had that shot gone in, game over LAL with a 4-point play.

Great game from Lonzo...came out of no where in the OT but came up huge down the stretch and with confidence.

    Please keep it up.

    Glad you asked, Lebron:

    "Rule 7.12.4a:

A player named James Harden is always fouled and in shooting motion. There is no legal guarding position in such a case."

Perfect. And if it takes getting a ref physically Rudy T'd on the floor some game to make Silver and the FO wake the eff up about what they're doing to the league I hope a player on another team takes care of that soon. Or anyone on our Smash Mob not named Rondo.

What a disgrace that was. They gave them the ball out of bounds when it was clearly off Westbrook, then they bail them out with 3 FTs. Oh well, they still lost.

if it was anyone else, they'd get a warning from the Commissioner's office. Glad to see Lebron step up and put himself on the line for his peers.

Nothing ever came of Houston's player and Morrey with the Bird Box smack on the referee that night with the Durant OBVIOUS out of bounds no call?
He's been a terrific teammate so far. Really seems to enjoy the young guys. It'll get serious soon enough as the playoffs become questionable but am loving his demeanor and body language on the bench.

I really liked how he came out and played during overtime. He could have sulked but he stepped up big time.

I feel like he's maturing before our eyes. His leadership is improving.

Watching a replay of the game, Lonzo looked like UCLA Lonzo in overtime.

These past 2-3 weeks, I've experienced more pleasure (wow that sounds bad) watching the Lakers than I have in the past 4-5 years. These kids are still something of a mess, but they're starting to get it.

Lonzo vs OKC last night - the young man was nailing the 3, driving & finishing (nice switch to finish with the off hand), nifty little pass to Zubac, rolling to the rim - and beyond the details, did I detect some swagger? Kind of a "give me the ball, I got this, what?" kind of thing? I think I did see that.

Game to game, I think we'll see whipsaw good to bad - games where it just seems all our kids are busts, and games where it seems like they're really good. Hard to know what to think, or believe for me.

But last night I saw that Lonzo believed. Not just jacking up shots because he knows you have to shoot through a slump, even if you don't think it's going in. Not just driving the lane because the coaching staff says you're the next big thing. Belief. He seemed to grab the game and make it his. Huge step. Maybe it's happening.

    Hope so.

One thing about Lonzo - it's always (from what I see) full speed to the rim. He needs to calm down, he can get that first step, doesn't mean he has to go straight to the rim. Stop and go, hesitation, show and go. He's got the tools.

Also, Brandon Ingram for the love of God please start hitting that midrange. Please!

    Best.
