Hopefully this game serves as motivation and he watches this tape a lot. He got some good looks that were close, but the offense was just horrible to watch.

    Jeez, he's still 21.

It took guys like LeBron and PG13 later in their 20's to step up in the 4th quarter. The expectations are wild.

well, jamal "punch me in my face" murray and doncic have had no problems stepping up and carrying things. as have lots of other top notch players.

and again: if our FO hadn't held ingram out of trade talks for far superior players, i don't think you'd see such reactions. i think fans are rightfully angry at the asset mismanagement when we were on the cusp of getting back into contention. we're still there, but we've already missed several opportunities and depreciated our own assets to the extent that we may not get further opportunities--the media speculators have us having to offer ball AND ingram to get beal. we laugh at that, but that may be what washington is thinking. why? maybe because they watched the game last night.

anyway, time will tell if the FO is just patient and brilliant or if they were tragically overconfident. there's actually very little middle ground. either anthony davis (or another top five nba player in his prime) walks through that door, or they screwed up pretty big.

I’d only add to @abeer3 that many of us were also concerned with the development of our young guys over the years. I questioned how guys were being taught, how minutes were managed, accountability, etc.

Several lottery picks later including 3 number twos. not only do we not have an All Star but we’re not even sure if either of our top picks can be one.

I never liked the whole untouchable thing and I am definitely concerned it’s going to bite us. I honestly wouldn’t trade AD for any combo of our young guys and would probably just let him walk. The league seems scared though so I am keeping the faith.

I still do not believe that Indy would have traded PG to us. Pritchard was PO'd that George was talking about going to us in FA and accused us of tampering. As it is they got a pretty good deal with Oladipo who has been an Eastern Conference All Star for them and a leader. Likewise Pop was never going to trade us Leonard. NEVER. Once again, they got an Eastern Conference All Star in return with DeRozan. So all this talk about the FO holding onto BI instead of trading him for either of those guys doesn't hold water for me. BI wasn't going to get us a top FA in those circumstances. Hopefully he can at some time moving forward.

There's just no reason to keep coming back to this idea that I can see. We shall see what else this FO is capable of this summer. In the meantime I've seen a great game out of BI just before this last one.

Indy was mad, but word was they wanted to "win the deal" with la. To me, that was just getting either Ingram or the #2 pick that became ball.

Anyway, repeated word was that Ingram was held out of talks. Who knows what kinds of talks might have occurred had that not been the case.

Also to be fair to the Lakers front office, they (and most of us) just assumed PG would have came here the following year even after he first got traded to OKC.

We were of the same mentality we had with Kawhi of “why trade for him a year early when we can get him in free agency without giving up any of the kids”

We are playing Monday morning quarterback and thinking with hindsight now because Ingram didn’t make that leap to the next level like we all thought he would...

During the summer of 2017, none of us wanted to trade Ingram or Ball to get PG either because we thought he was coming...

    “Well I was behind Center”

    — Dwight (Probably)

I just realized when our play is sucking and we have days in between games, I’m making too many Dwight jokes. Let’s start a winning streak eh?

Yeah. Many of us were fine with a trade.

Ingram playing the point with Ball in the game tells me he's being featured for a trade I can't think of any other reason he was allowed to dominate the ball and lead us to a loss.

We had no business being in that game if it wasn't for Ingram thru the first 3 quarters imo.

Ingram is going to be good, it just probably won't be with us. His development isn't fitting with the timeline we are in after getting Lebron.

I don't want to regret letting him go the way we all regretted letting Doug Christie go though.

The Lakers are trying to make him something he's not. Yet another night he's proved he's not a "Go To" player in the 4th Q. These Isos at the top of the floor or PnR are so ineffective in the 4th Q
