Guy can’t take anyone off the dribble, he can’t stop getting the ball picked or stripped, he can’t shoot from deep, he looks WORSE than last season. I’m over it, I can’t have patience for this anymore. If we really didn’t trade him for PG, or Kawhi, or freaking Jimmy Butler, we screwed up. I too would trade him for Beal now, realdeal was right on that one, I’d trade him for Kemba, hell I’d trade him for a lot of guys... In conclusion, Brandon Ingram, *fart noise*

I post it by mistake in Optimism,
Bad ending but untill last 5min it wasnt so bad,it is more that luke didnt draw any action and ingram went iso,and we realy missed kuzma shooting,no big that can stretch,so they packed the paint and contested his midrange shots, plus no defense so we didnt have any transition were he could take advantage...
I am ready to listen offers but still not ready to trade him just for sake of moving him,if luke could force him to leave ball to zo i would be more then happy with ingram.

Agreed 100%. Problem with laker fans, or maybe fans of all teams, they overrate their young guys extremely. People used to speak of BI like he's going to be a top5 player or something. You see it time and time again.

I laughed at people who compared him (on his best day) to Tayshaun Prince. Never called him KD 2.0 but damn, that was harsh. You know what...
    Nevermind :D

Same thing I posted in the Lonzo thred. I can’t support this anymore. They just don’t play the right way and I don’t see any fire either. Shooting is abysmal. Starts many games missing a free throw setting the tone for later.

It wasn’t just Laker fans. There was a legit debate over whether he should have been the #1 pick over Simmons (although I doubt anyone on here agreed with that) and at a minimum he was the consensus #2 pick. He has a ton of talent and his length can be put to great use, no doubt. The problem is that playing at the NBA level requires smarts. And I doubt Luke is telling Ingram to dribble into traffic and force up bad shots. I think the problem, at bottom, is that Ingram is a moron. And sadly that’s not gonna change.

yes it it Luke fault that BI runs into a packed paint because we have NO half court offense, but the indecisiveness, bad ft shooting, bad 3pt shooting is on BI tho.

If it were Luke’s fault then everyone would be doing it.

If Kuz misses a chunk of time, BI (and Ball) become our best players. Time to step up and prove yourselves. Unfortunately I’m no super confident they will.

Honestly, he sucked ONLY in the 4th quarter, but he was damn good the first 3.

he was making all of the right plays, and then 4th quarter came...and he just looked tired and went back to iso ball.

Keep in mind, Ingram is playing against the best defense in the league, and we're down LeBron, Rondo AND Kuzma at this point...

It's discouraging though to see Ingram completely crumble in the 4th because I look at a guy like Jamal Murray, who is also in his 3rd year...and all i see from him is him stepping up in the big moments and doing it with the Nuggets down 3 starters....the fact that Ingram can't do that is very discouraging. It shows that we don't have a superstar on our hands...we have an average role player at best.

We really screwed up not giving up this guy for PG13 (I don't believe the Spurs were going to give us Kawhi no matter who we offered). Ironic that we saw PG13 absolutely step up in the 4th and Ingram absolutely shut down in the 4th...
