Yeah that's NOT a good track record. 2016....not a very good crop anyways. 2015 - Could of had Porzingas. 2018 - Tatum.

Just bad luck really. And I tend to look at our #2 Russell pick as Kuzma since that's who we got with the pick in the trade. Tatum over Ball? Honestly, the jury is still out on that. I think the better play would have been to do what abeer suggested like crazy before the draft: trade down and take Fox and then used the other pick to maybe swap with someone to get their first in a later year or use it on another player. For what this team needs right now, Fox would be better than Tatum. Kuzma makes Tatum redundant. Fox is the type of pg that would really thrive next to Lebron. We may not even be talking about trading for another player right now.

The Lavar factor got Magic and as to Rob, he loves his cheesy narratives, hometown boy makes big. Anyway it was between Ball and Fox at that point I think.

His game would have looked great in the 80s but he would be sprawled on the floor most of the time

Brandon Ingram is going to be a very productive role player. I think the Lakers hyped him up to be a "go to" type guy and he is clearly not that right now. He is a very good player right now but I would not run the offense through him. I think the Lakers are forcing him to be something he's not.

One of the big positives on the night for me was seeing how much BI and Kuz were setting the table for others. Very unselfish game for Ingram tonight and it showed with 9 assists. Strong stuff tonight shooting 9 of 13 and grabbing 7 boards, plus some tight D down the stretch. Impressive. But yeah, work on the free throws (not the only one though!).

I still think he isn't efficient at playing point guard every other day. He is good here and there but not consistent enough at PG.

He needs to be better at off ball plays. The problem is that he has a clunky shot. It looks like he is too weak to shoot. He leans into his shots in an awkward way from long range. Flat out refuses to add bulk and strength. It's not acceptable when you are too weak to shoot threes.

Refuses to add bulk and strength?

That sounds like misinformation. We all bag on him for being so lean, but I think All we’ve heard is he tries but has a very high metabolism.

    Have you heard differently?
