Nothing is happening with AD till the offseason at the earliest. New Orleans isn’t going to pass up the chance to offer him the supermax.
Rich, LeBron, and Magic want him in Los Angeles. Can Rich navigate AD's way here? Will Dell Demps acquiesce to what Rich wants for his client? Will Dell be impartial when evaluating trade packages and not be swayed by what the league owners want? So many questions? Guess we'll see...
I see no way Demps accomadates AD to LA, he's already on the hot seat or should be and Stern pretty much called him a moron for not only trading Cp3 to us but also for the fact that Pelicans have NOTHING to show for the Cp3 trade either.
You could make the argument getting the farm from us redeems him in Davis demands out. At least they'd get SOMETHING. If they can somehow snag Ingram, Kuz, Zu, 2 1sts...that's really good when you're forced to make a move (should AD demand out) .
Nothing is happening by the deadline. Pelicans won't move him so early. In July the C Bags enter the picture too which they won't be pressured into missing out on. It forces us to give up the farm. 85% of everything if we could do a deadline deal. And the Pelicans can just send him to Boston anyways, depending on their offer. He'll have to play a full season with THAT team I'm sure he will like it there. Though Boston also will have to resign Kyrie first this summer and have some cap issues with Hayward eating up so much space.
Boston will also need to roll three of those four picks over, imo--and teams should drive a hard bargain knowing Boston doesn't want to keep all those picks. The main fear would be Hayward regaining pre-injury form, as he'd then be a trump card (recent a-list star trades have involved b-list stars). Horford's too old and Irving defeats the purpose. If their top chips are Tatum and Brown, one can argue we can offer a better package, now or later.
NBA sends memo to teams as reminder of anti-tampering rule ADRIAN WOJNAROWSKIESPN11:38 AM ET2 Minute Read In the aftermath of LeBron James' public comments on the possibility of New Orleans Pelicans star Anthony Davis joining James with the Los Angeles Lakers, the NBA sent a memo to teams that warned of consequences for orchestrated tampering campaigns of players under contract elsewhere. C Bags can recruit Hayword while he was playing in Utah.Hiuston can do whatever they hell wanted for CP3. That's BS
Is Kuz/Ball/Hart and a first rounder enough for AD? If so, why not try to send INgram, filler and a first to Washington for Beal right now? With the way we are playing and the development of Kuz, Hart, and Ball, flipping Ingram for Beal makes us an immediate contender. Draymond and Klay have regressed a lot this season.
we all know Lakers have a different rule's thats applied to them...Draymond admits to recruiting KD as soon as his team kicked that KD/OKC team to the curbed and nothing, James just answers a question and the whole league is in an uproar. Giannis whether joking or not tells AD blatantly to come to the bucks. Magic praise Giannis= tampering, while Kerr, West and a few other notable gms sing praises of other players and nothing
This league loves fining the Lakers but couldn’t this time because then they’d have to fine Giannis and the Bucks. Double standard at its best. If Giannis didn’t make that pitch, I’d bet a 24 pack that Lakers would be facing another 500k fine per player that Lebron mentioned just because we’re the Lakers.
it's become pretty clear that the league office reacts to owner complaints, and owner complaints only come regarding the lakers, apparently. is there a way to make the rest of the owners hate houston as much as i do? because a few resolutions would end them. anyway, at some point, the lakers should make a public statement about collusion. they couldn't get any legal action on it, but it would be good for the public to see the case laid out. i think it's a pretty strong one.
I don't believe the answer to our problems is AD, I think we need to continue to home grow our extremely talented players (which gives us depth, and deep bench) and just add one Superstar in the off season. Kawhi would be my number 1 preference. Even LeBron takes notice. And then the KDs, Klay, Kemba
Kawhi is going to the Clippers, and KD doesn’t want to play with LeBron because the environment around him is “toxic”. All signs point to AD.
yeah there's really no reason for kawhi to play with lebron. they both need the ball in their hands to be successful the clippers are set up perfectly to land him and there he can be the #1 guy durant wants the most money and GS is the team that can give him that so i think he stays. it'll either be AD or klay and AD is truly a longshot
