The thing I've noticed with Kuz is that it takes him a shot or two to get him rolling, but when he does, he gets hot unlike any of our players currently and it help push the team forward offensively.

He's put in more effort defensively, but he still needs to add some strength to defend stronger PF's, but he's doing a lot more like taking charges and rebounding which he was less adverse to before.

This is exactly why I like Kuz coming off the bench. He's a natural scoring punch guy who can get hot, exploit mismatches against bigger PF's and really get the energy rolling. What he's not is a shooter and I feel like we need one guy out there at all times who actually is one. That would be Hart with the starters and KCP with the bench. They play the same position and there is a log jam off the bench with both playing there.

And by Kuz coming off the bench I don't mean he should be relegated to playing bench only minutes. He should play some time with most of the starters as well. Right now he's at 30 minutes a game and Hart is at 24. We should even that out.

I agree, Kuzma would make a great 6th man. And Rondo will find him in his spots. I think both the starters and bench would benefit from swapping Hart and Kuzma.

I think it’s worth a look. I think the FO is high on all the young guys and remaining patient through the growing pains. I’m very curious who will still be here next year.

I think we stick with the 2 star model and remain patient until next offseason. We'll possibly make a playoff run, and then add a max guy. I think the 3 max player thing will never happen, and that we'll continue to develop our home grown stars.

I'm pretty sure Magic is all in on a LeBron / KD / AD Dream Team. If he pulls it off BI is for sure gone to Nawlins and maybe Kuz too.

If he pulls that off, it would be pretty absurd.

Man, I hope we somehow keep Kuz + Hart when we make our big moves. Love this kid.

Balled again, timely scoring, 9 boards, some really decent defense, and some nice passes. Him and LeBron have something really nice going on.

The only thing Kuz needs to do defensively is keep his hands up. That’s pretty much it. He can affect most shots with his length, but plays with his hands down.

Offensively, he kept us afloat a few times with some timely buckets.

Effort and taking on a tough assignment counts for me. Luke pointed out just now that Kuz played the entire 2nd half because of the injuries we have, and he wanted to take on DeRozan. Nobody is stopping DeRozan this year, but I thought he was solid, and again, he was rebounding, which is a part of defense.

No, the effort was there, but he doesn’t have natural defensive instincts like keeping his hands up and using his body the way Hart does.

    He’s definitely getting better though.

The play between LeBron and Kuz reminds me a little bit of the way Kobe and Caron Butler started gelling with each other during the second half of that otherwise miserable ’05 season.

Laker Film Room mentioned that Kuz is actually better than Ingram at fighting through picks when defending wings. You just need to put Kuz on a wing instead of a PF, and NEVER a center, and Kuz will defend well.

You just reminded me I've been meaning to comment I really like Caron with the SSN crew. Give him all of Fish's time please now that he's coaching the Sparks.
