Agreed, but screen and roll gives him more options than just dribbling the ball after his predictable shot fake. It allows him to get to the basket more freely, and either shoot the midrange jumper or dump it off to McGee/Chandler at the rim.

This is exactly right, because otherwise teams will run a drop coverage and Ingram can't shoot from outside to combat that. The other option to counter a drop coverage is run a pick n pop, but we don't have a big to do that. That's partly why I've been advocating sticking with small ball but just being smarter about it.

Again, you look at the box score and think he had a good game. No. He was bad today, very frustrating.

Not good from Ingram once again...had a few good possessions but overall he's looking very very average out there.

We literally cannot play this guy with LeBron....

I was chatting last night about BI with a guy that played professionally and he thinks the coaching staff is trying to make BI do things that really aren’t part of his game... square peg round hole sort of thing. He also thinks that because of it BI’s confidence is low and he is struggling.

I’m of the camp now that BI should come off the bench and lead that unit. I don’t think BI’s game meshes well with LeBron’s.

Forehead was interviewing him just now, he looked and sounded like he wanted to be anywhere BUT where he was. And that idiot asked him a stupid a** question that has nothing to do with basketball, "what is your favorite thanksgiving food?" Really?

Ingram probably KNOWS he's not playing well too...he's not out there smiling or all happy in post-game interviews. I respect that about him...he is a competitor and wants to be great but idk if he has the capability to do what he's wanting to do...if that makes sense?

We need to trade this guy for something before he completely tanks all his value. Even if its for picks and/or better fitting prospects.

As I said in the other thread, if he plays 30 minutes most of it is meh but he manages to put together just enough numbers in spurts to keep everyone hanging on to potential.

He needs a good game to help his confidence. I was hoping that would be tonight.

+15 in 35 mins (only 2nd to Zo's +16), while Bron was +9 in the same amount of time.... Which means dude helped keep us afloat while Bron sat.

Hasn't been the stud we were hoping for in this early season, but tonight why y'all so upset?

I wasn't unhappy with him against the Cavs. I take it. He was active and he didn't take too many dumb shots either.

I know the stats aren't as high as they should be but well, a step is a step.

I thought he played a decent game. Room for improvement for sure, but I’ve seen worse out of him this season.

The most telling thing about last night's game and Ingram for me was that he started being assertive and playing well once he was leading the bench mob. He played like crap once again with the starters.

Right now, something needs to be done by the coaching staff. They need to either pull him from the starters or Kuz. Those first quarters we always seem to be behind. It's like last year when Luke insisted on playing Larry Nance instead of Randle. I get that they want to develop Ingram and don't want to limit his minutes. I also get that Kuz's lack of D handicaps us when he's out there with Lebron.

They need to change it up though. Kuz and Ingram are both flailing right now and one of them needs a benching.
