OK, if that's your position I can respect that. Just wanted to make sure you aren't completely biased.

I think Randle would have thrived playing with Lebron, Lonzo and Rondo to be honest. Remember when he led the league in P&R points per possesion? He's effective being ball-dominant but he's also a lethal scorer off the ball. He was an extremely clutch player, coming up with big plays down the stretch. I also miss his physicality in the paint. Perhaps you've forgotten these attributes of Julius, but he would have helped this team immensely, so of course I blame the FO for that. I've been pissed with the way they've treated him since the beginning of last season (even though he came back ripped, doing everything the FO asked) and that's the reason why I'm beating up the FO. Mintz is an idiot yes, but I'm not allowing others to make him a scapegoat for the way they treated Julius. I didn't even know who the dude was when Luke was benching Julius for no apparent reason.

Rondo's making 9million? Or have I missed something? Either way Jules was being quoted on here by some people as being worth 20 mil per, I personally wish we had kept him but feel like KCP got a gift when we got LBJ.

Randle had himself a hell of a game stat-wise, 26 & 8 on 10-10 shooting, 4-4 fts, but the Pelicans lost their 6th game in a row. I have no idea what’s wrong with them, but it’s good for us as we now share a 4-6 record.

Randle is dominating this year. 18/8 in 24 mpg on 57% shooting. His PER is 23.51.

In contrast Anthony Davis has a PER of 23.75.

    Its kind of crazy.

Well Davis has been injured again, and he looks no where near 100% when he does play. Rondo's replacement, Payton, looked stellar to start the season but he's sidelined as well. And they have no bench. Most of them are D-league talent. They're a top heavy team hit with the injury bug.

Julius is ballin' and seems to have improved all facets of his game, once again.

He has the highest USG% on the team! Off the bench!

    Jrue Holiday- 23.2
    Nikola Mirotic- 24.6
    Jahlil Okafor (!!)- 25
    Anthony Davis- 25.5

    Julius Randle- 27.9!!!

He's putting wild numbers though. Hopefully he gets a bigger payday in 2019 and it works out for him.

Have you looked at their bench? I'm surprised most of those guys are in the NBA. The differential between Julius and the 7th man on the roster is HUGE. He needs to have a high USG% because no one else on their bench can score.

It's just how it is when teams are dependent on their 6th man. Lou Williams is at 32.2% for example. (Julius is much more efficient, while grabbing 4x more rebounds and actually defending btw ;))

I didn't mean it as a slight to Julius. It seems like he's found a role that fits him well. I was just adding context to why some of his numbers are comparable to Anthony Davis. I truly am happy he's playing well and I hope for him and his family he can get paid.

Is he really THAT much better? His rebounds and assists are slightly down, but his usage is way up. This doesn’t show his minutes, but they are similar. I wonder how his defense compares.

He’s a solid player and is positioned nicely for a raise next year and long term contract. “ I think”

But other player similar to him got paid more, so for some reason he may not be coveted around the league. Would have liked him on this roster since we don’t have a real PF or legit small ball center.

Yes, he's better. He gets better every year. Let's compare his PER36 numbers.

    2017-18: 21.7 PTS, 10.8 REB, 3.5 AST, 0.7 BLK, 0.7 STL, 55.8 FG%, 22.2 3P%, 71.8 FT%
    2018-19: 27.1 PTS, 11.2 REB, 3.0 AST, 1.2 BLK, 1.0 STL, 56.5 FG%, 23.3 3P%, 70.8 FT%

His scoring efficiency has gone up while taking more shots, which is no small feat.
He also has logged more blocks and steals, but what's most encouraging is his 3P%.
A lot of folks thought he'd never be an outside threat, but he's starting to turn the corner.
And he's still only 23 years old.... too bad he's not a Laker.

3 points, 3 rebounds in 14 min on a team with no depth.

    Max. Contract.

    Am I doing that right?

He is better. If only someone had foreseen the player Randle would be.

Player I said Randle was like – age 24 season:
    54.9% FGs, 16.3 points, 8.6 rebounds, 2.7 assists.

    Randle – age 24 season:
    56.4% FGs, 17.3 points, 8.2 rebounds, 2.3 assists.

If Randle could defend and block shots, he would be a player every team would go after.

As a big man defense is much more valuable than as a guard.

Now Randle is a bad defender? I've seen it all. You are all over the place.

Do you actually only get personal or do you have an argument to make or two?

Seems like your longest posts are 3 sentences and cuss words in the Luke thread. Very valuable to the community, really. Thanks for enlightening our days here.

Feel free to do that. It's not like you were ever contributing an argument except getting personal.
