I don't. I see lapses, but it's not like he doesn't care or is physically not up to the task. This is his second year. Lots of room to improve still. The kid is already a beast on D in the paint. The perimeter issue is a footwork thing. He can at minimum be as effective there as Fish was in his prime.
The only thing defensively that Josh doesn't have is length. Some bigger SG/SF's can shoot right over him, but he can body with the best of them. At least, it's not a lack of effort on his part, that steal against Derozan in OT was huge.
Nonsense. One of Josh's best abilities is getting around/recovering from picks. These idiots are confusing him with KCP who gets screened out of every single play on the perimeter.
There's no reason for this kid not to start. Pope is a bench player, Hart is not. Anyone complaining about his defense doesn't understand basketball.
his perimeter D is better than the likes of KCP and even Ingram IMO....but hey after 3 gms, based on stats doesn't appear anyone besides Mcgee plays any D lol
Deserves to start. He’s better than KCP and more efficient. The stats from tonight are like a perfect example of who Josh is and who KCP is. Hart: 5-8, for his 15 points, KCP: 6-14 for his 14.
I think Luke was holding out a lil longer just to see if kcp would bounce back. glad he made hart a starter and not wait 20 games in
