The fight took all the attention, but the most encouraging thing that happened in the game was Lonzo hitting 4 of 8 threes.
Jeez you go out of town for the first couple games of the year and the world is on fire. I haven't had a chance to watch much of the games, but the numbers in the second game were much more encouraging than the first.
One thing about Lonzo that I wish he had more of, is his aggressiveness, be selfish man. Remember this is the game you love, have fun. Show passion. Sometimes I feel like Lonzo doesn't show any emotions on the court, let's see some fire tonight
if it wasnt for that fight, lakers would of won their first game. the defense was finally clicking and had all the momentum. then the bogus foul call for harden turned things around in an instant. why is the league so persistent in manufacturing that piece of crap thinking he a superstar.
I thought he did very well today...except that one wide open layup in crunch time which he didn't took, instead kicking it out for no reason. But his shot is falling at a very decent clip so far (knock on wood) and his D is still very good. I think he can still be more aggressive. He fills up the stat sheet but you don't see it on the floor. He needs to make sure the game gravitates more toward his game.
He definitely still has a bit of hesitation on certain things, especially defensively, he seems a step slow. He also needs to look to score when he attacks the rim, he's getting there a lot easier now, but he's looking to kick it out every time, and with the way our team has been shooting, he's better off going to the shot. But he looks comfortable out there and can only get better from here. Still elite vision, shot has definitely improved. He'll get there.
Very good game from Lonzo. If he can hit 3's at 40% clip shooting 5 to 6 threes a game...that's going to bode very well next to LeBron. Keep it up Lonzo!
