I wasn't a fan of signing McGee but I have been pleased with him. He is a real asset with his speed, length and agility.
Our lack of size is going to give McGee a deadly asthma attack. I genuinely feel bad for this guy at this point, he is doing everything he can out there, he is covering for everyone on defense, he’s attacking the boards, and he’s the only one. He’s on a damn island. He helps on d and disrupts shots and then the other team just gets the miss and has an easy layup because he’s been taken out of the play. This can’t go on, most teams have a true PF and we do not, and it is going to kill us.
McGee is balling his tail off. I love the effort, but we better get this guy some cover. No way his body can hold up to playing more minutes than he ever has with such energy. Every time he went sprawling on the floor last night I cringed.
Dude is gonna be dead tired by week 3 if we continue to rely on him to cover the paint and then be explosive offensively.
The second time he got hit in the face I thought he was going to go out with an eye injury. We are f***ed if he ever gets a paper cut in the wrong place.
