Wow Nance getting 45 mio. in this market is kind of crazy. Julius got 18 mio. for 2 years...Nance gets double the years and higher annual salary. I love Nance but given his injury prone nature and limited game, I think Julius is a better player overall even though his limitations (defense, blocking, shooting) are more glaring than Nance's.
i thought nance was the better basketball player, and the league seems to agree. but still, fire your agent.
I think Randle has so much more potential, but you're the market obviously think there's more to it. It has to be brutal watching literally all of his peers get double, triple, and quadruple his payday while he's bounced out of the team he grew up rooting for and his only contemporary (player with the same agent) is getting a deal lower than he should have gotten. Mintz is an awful, awful agent and deserves to get fired.
Yes all Mintz players are getting shafted. Paul George for staying with OKC with a weird contract. Russell not even close to an extention with the Nets Julius getting shafted bigtime. I wonder why and how the guy still has a job.
He apparently has good relationships with his client so they're always on good terms. But even if my best friend was my agent and he cost me 40 million, I'm firing him. It's not personal, it's business. It's my livelihood. There's no good reason Jabari Parker should get twice Julius Randle.
Can't pay you like a starter if you aren't starter material. and beat out by a white dude that's gotta hurt
Mirotic gives them spacing with his outside shooting. Randle would be a fit if he had four capable perimeter and play-making teammates like we have. Oh well...
He was ballin today... everybody is always talking how much better the Lakers are by adding LeBron...well ya, but subtracting Randle isn't exactly a positive considering he was the most consistent player and probably best player on the team last year.
Couldn't agree more. We will regret having let him go for years to come. Especially if we are not able to fill in the gaping hole under the basket with adequate quality. If there were no additional issues with Randle we don't know about, it still baffles me how he was treated by the organization as a whole. No it's not all on Mintz, the Lakers barely showed any interest in retaining Julius long term.
25 and 8 in 24 minutes, did a good job switching onto guards and keeping houston from going bananas on those isos and the resulting chaos. we've got beasley, though.
