You're not gonna watch the lakers cause lebron is on the team? Are you a laker fan or kobe fan? If you're a lakers fan, you rock with whoever is on the team. Team first.

Sorry this is the only video available (you'll hear why). Looks like Russell is getting in the gym. His legs are still tiny, but he has clearly added some muscle and probably dropped some fat, too. He has to work on lower body strength to keep his arse on the court and effective.

BTW, while I like to see the muscle gain, I watch the movements they're doing and wonder WTF people are thinking. What are those 2" range of motion calf raises doing? Obviously, not much. His legs gotta grow.

    Who would know?

He did travel the world a bit and his coach had some praise,"He’s a talented guy, Michael. He’s got great court vision,he’s got incredible hand-eye coordination, really understands the game. He wants to be great and has been in our gym all summer.

In the NBA, it’s not an obligation. You have to want to be there and he has been there really working on his body. He’s got to make some strides, hes got to get stronger, work on his explosiveness a little bit but he is proving it to me by being there everyday in the off-season.”

Looking forward to see Russell play this year. He got to look good considering two of his draft year buddies got massive contracts (Kat & Booker).

Hit some clutch shots to get the Nets to OT.

LeVert is playing more PG, and Russ is free to score more. He's cut down the TOs dramatically so far (4 in 3 games), so his seasonal outlook is a bit harder to pin down. He's also a big injury risk, so I wouldn't vote for him as MIP, but his monthly stats are impressive:

    upload_2018-10-11_15-26-5.png
He went 30+ in two months, and he's been around the 25 mark in 11 of his last 13 months, despite playing <29 MPG. That's monster explosiveness. But note how inconsistent he is.

    upload_2018-10-11_15-27-6.png

Note how his stats have essentially flatline, unlike BI's. That's not to say DAR is at his peak, as he could simply play more minutes to bump those, but it's another reason why though I believe he's more explosive than BI, I think Ingram is a prime candidate for MIP and Russ is a lesser bet.

still looks like our inconsistent shooting, high volume, high usage ver.....looks like they're not even having him play the point anymore, I think the nets are using Levert as the PG who also isn't a PG.

I don’t know. I’ll buy volume shooter, but he’s been pretty consistent given they’ve played three games.

    20 minutes 11 on 33%
    32 minutes 25 on 45%
    27 minutes 18 on 41%

Russell is certainly not garbage. He is entertaining and has a lot of potential because he is still 22.

Is he a championship cornerstone? hell no. But how many NBA players are? 10?

russell is simply not a PG and good on the nets for realizing that and playing him at the 2

he's a good passer but he's much more of a scorer. luke finally figured that out at the very end of 16-17

    31 minutes 18 on 50% and 8 assists vs 1 TO.

Finished 27-63 (42%), 18.0 points (37% threes). Fan on twitter debating whether D-lo or Ingram will be MIP.

I don't think Ingram or Russell will be MIP this year. There are always a few guys under the radar.

At the same time Russell and Ingram are already "pretty good". For them to win MIP, they will have to average like 22/7/4 or something on even better percentages which I don't see happening.

The MIP title is less for those progressing steadily and more for those exploding into the scene. A guy like Fultz could be the MIP after being absolutely awful.
