Bump from oblivion. I think we bring him back for the minimum, though that still leaves $5 mil in cap space an unsigned Svi and no more roster space. He's familiar with the system, Luke and Lebron and can be that old veteran leader in this locker room. Him, McGee and Zubac gives you varying looks and we can play whomever depending on match up. Unless Magic and Rob have bigger plans, missing out on BroLo seems like a mistake at the moment.
someone tell him lebron isn't on the cavs anymore but in all honesty, seems like lebron wants no connections to the cavs on this current lakers squad
Never a big Frye fan, and he’s old and not what he used to be, not a defender. All that said, I’d have liked to have kept him over some other signings, he’s still a stretch 5 and familiar with playing next to LeBron. Bummer.
Probably more important in the Locker Room than on the floor at this point in his career. If the FO felt we had better leaders with championship experience, we were better served by going with youth. It's a new day. And that was a poorly written article. I'm not a huge critique monger on articles, but that is not Irwin's best work. I see more stuff from him that's 140 characters or less though.
Beasley is a better scorer...though Frye is smarter on defense and can be a factor on the boards in limited minutes. My reasoning is that we are really thin at the 4 and I am not comfortable with the McGee/Zubac rotation at the 5. We are loaded at the 3 with James, Ingram and Kuzma plus Stephenson in a pinch.
