    Well that's fair and you're not alone, but the way I approach it is that nothing is guaranteed. As fans, of course we should all hope and expect he's the next Scottie Pippen mixed with James Worthy mixed with Robert Horry mixed with Durant. I just am eager to see him prove us (and Magic and Rob and LeBron) right.

    Yeah, of course, nothing is guaranteed. But I remember watching Magic in his rookie season and being confident he was going to be a star. I remember watching Kobe in his rookie season and being confident he was going to be a star. Now, I'm not saying BI will reach their stratosphere. I don't think he will. But I think he will be in the Worthy / 2nd Tier Star category.

    Man I hope you're right. I definitely see sparks at times of him being that guy. A little too often in his sophomore season he was a little too passive which is what gives me a little pause before I throw him up there with that 2nd Tier Star label. The great thing about Brandon is his work ethic. He puts too much work in to fail which is something you'd absolutely ever think about from a 20 year old kid, but as soon as the season ended, he disappeared into the ether and started training. Hell his teammates couldn't find him or get a hold of him. That sort of work ethic is typically followed by good things.

    My confidence is half based on what I already see / have seen in him, and half based on his work ethic and where that will take him.

    only issue i have with bi is his ft shooting and how long he takes to get his "grove" back after an injury but man when hes on he can be very consistent ,hes not flasy but he gets things done

    If Brandon puts up 20+/4+/4+ with over a steal a game while shooting 39% from deep on 6+ shot attempts, he's not only going to be the MIP of the year, but might also be an All-Star and we'll win 55-60 games.

    Also, ever since @therealdeal had that great post a page ago detailing out reasons for optimism around Ingram the guy has been a no show.

    Could be busy, could be on vacation now, I don't know but its just interesting...

    Oh I knew all that and figured a lot of this unrealistic negativity before even seeing him play this year was out of that frustration. Thing is ... again .... SA wanted not just BI but Kuz and Hart and (maybe I'm leaving someone out) plus multiple 1st round picks and the Lakers' contract with Time Warner for Leonard.
