He's got something. I still liked "ice in my veins".

I dont know what his future is though. Definitely not looking great so far.

I have a hard time investing much or energy in players once they are gone.

I think if they were exciting to watch home grown talent I might feel different. Like if young Kobe was traded, I would have been catching his highlights at a minimum.

I don’t know that we’ve lost anyone I felt that way about

Honestly, I checked D-lo's boxes most nights, went out of my way to watch two games, and saw a dozen or so game snippets. I watched literally less than an hour of Lakers ball last year. It's not the same without the Kobester for me.

Kuzma has some Kobe-esque moments, so you'll get a kick out of watching him this year. The rest? It will be interesting to see how all of the parts fit. I think we start off slow, and finish REALLY well IF everyone stays healthy. Definitely not a given.

Honestly, not a chance I watch the Lakers with James in the P&G. And everyone outside LA seems to think Kuzma’s ceiling is nba average player. I don’t see it with him, but, again, I have no horse in that race. I’ll check boxes for BI on occasion though.

I like how you think, but I’m going to attempt to keep my dry heaves under control and catch a few games. I might not make it.

The last time I was nearly disavowed from the Lakers was when O'Neal got traded... I was in a daze for several days.

Or we would have taken Okafor...

and if we go with Porzingis, I think he has health issues the rest of his career. So...

The draft was weak. Point is, people on this forum thought Dlo was a superstar in the making. When I said he didn't have SUPERstar potential people lost their noodles.

Me too, that was tough to take at that time. It ultimately was the right decision, but that was the only time during my 35plus years as a fan that I considered saying f it.

I also don't see star potential in Kuzma. Slightly below average shooter, below average defender and playmaker, not a great athlete. He has the it factor going for him and an amazing arsenal of moves to score with excellent foot work, good with both hands, hooks left and right, etc...

What constitutes a "great athlete" too you? I mean, he's had a some pretty nasty dunks last year, a few that would've been monster posters had they gone in.

I think Kuzma is a decent athlete. His athleticism is actually much more in his quickness though. He's not a huge leaper although he has shown some ^ propensity for that.

I also think he's shown more "star" potential than any of our recent picks. He's not afraid of any moment, he's creative, he's well spoken and out spoken, he's definitely got an it factor to him.

I think he still has room to grow. His body can get stronger, he can get more consistent from deep, and he can obviously lock in on d.

Hey, this comment works for Russell or kuzma!
