Let me see, sit around, don't play, completely destroy my credibility in the league not to mention perpetuate the concerns regarding my quad. Also get fined the exact amount of my salary while totally ruining my chances of getting picked up by the Lakers next summer because I am clearly a head-case.

Ok, I'm warming up to the idea of playing with the Raptors this season.

I don't mince words, broseph. Middle tier. Stars dont get benched in playoff games because their weiners shrink in the big moment.

And if you are going to bring ANALytics to the discussion, the only one that matters is NBA finals win totals in my house.

Has anyone mentioned the possibility of a lakers vs Toronto NBA finals? It's a long shot but not ridiculous.

He would have to actually talk to call up other stars and do his version of recruiting a super team. Not buying it.

    :Fishwink:

Another player that thinks he has to play GM? And can't just wait and go to the team of his choice after fulfilling his contract? This is all getting tiresome. I blame the Heatles.

This is just how the game is played.

I'd have to think the first call is LeBron given Kawhi's desire to be in LA with the Lakers.

So this means Kawhi did not waive his trade kicker and now counts as a 23.1m cap hit.

If the Lakers wanted to trade for him, we need a minimum of 18.4m in outgoing salary. Meaning Deng almost has to be involved unless we're willing to modestly gut our roster (ie Rondo, Stevenson, Zu, Moe all have to be involved at a minimum). Remember KCP as an early bird player has a no-trade clause and can't be part of a deal without his consent.

LA can also stretch Deng before August 31st and use the available 10.6m in cap to absorb all but 12.5m of Kawhi's salary. Under that scenario, we would need a minimum of 7.5m (so for example, Stevenson, Moe and Zu would work).

Fyi: Moe can't be traded till July 31st, Bonga till August 4th, Sv33 till August 9th and Rondo/Stevenson till December 15th.

Did Leonard not know this? He made things more difficult by not waving the kicker. Sure it's his money but now we're back to having to lose key depth due to that decision if he wants to come before the end of the season.
