and besides Sf and guards are all interchangable with current systems. I dont know why you and others insist on trading Ingram when magic/rob wont.

I’d be shocked if Kawhi’s camp sticks with the “only wants to play in LA” narrative for much longer. They’re doing it now over initial disappointment with the trade, but don’t see it lasting.

Once he’s introduced in Toronto, he’ll probably say that he’s looking forward to free agency but will keep all options open, including staying with Toronto.

And him saying that won’t mean anything. He has to say it. He has to play hard next year to show he’s the same player, and he’s not going to say things that had his new team’s fans boo him off the court.

I agree this is great, but in Game of Zones Kawhi and the Spurs are already white walkers. Not sure how they are going to pull that off.

It's great Kawhi so far is the anti P**** Pauline and holding that line "Lakers or Bust"

But wow is this all starting to put him in a bad place with public perception and how he's viewed now? I wonder how long he can keep it up. Not good for wanting to sell a lot of shoes.

Kawhi just lost at least 30 million by missing out on the SuperMax going from 221 million to 190 million if he gets a 5 year max from Toronto.

If he leaves Toronto, the most anyone can offer him is 141 million over 4 years, so that's a loss of roughly 80 million dollars.

Is he also going to sit out this season and lose 20 more million with penalties on top of that which could up to a substantial amount more?

He's going to lose out on 100 million dollars and more just to get out of San Antonio and go to LA?

I just care that if he sits out we can’t know if he will ever be his old self again. We would need some kickers built into his contract or it would be a terrible risk.

I’m thrilled Magic and Rob didn’t bite for trading away the whole team for Kawhi. Let’s just see what he looks like this season and see if he’s worth the max.

Also if Toronto did meet DeRozen in Vegas and told him they wouldn’t be trading him, they just f***ed themselves royally for ever getting any FA to sign for a long long time. Players talk to each other. That s*** will travel around to every player in the league and there will be a big “nope” attached to the name Toronto Raptors.

his personality was never gona change, a bigger market wouldn't have increase sales by much. I think he just truly didn't want the spurs or tor in this instance...I do think however its not Lakers or Bust, he'll come to LA one way or the other and either team will work for him.

if he can attach Galo to them for Leonard he would....Clipps would have room for 2 max PLUS Leonard, thats a crazy appeal to FA next yr, imagine that Kyrie/Butler tandem wanting to play together and do it in LA with Leonard?

yeah...they hurt their own position in making the trade for leonard.

    drakes: we love you, kawhi
    kawhi: like you loved demar?
    drakes: no, that was different
    kawhi: how?
    drakes: he was under contract?

this isn't the 1st time Tor did a trade like this, anyone remember the Vince trade? Mourning wouldn't report and Tor had to trade him for pennies on the dollar

I'm not surprised Kawhi is letting it be known he wont resign with the Raptors. I don't think they are either.

Player reaction on this is pretty telling, two of the games top players got done dirty by their respective clubs, and the backlash is real.

That Kobe legacy contract ain’t looking too bad now. Players aren’t going to want to play for snakes.
