maybe post a picture you have in mind, and i'll see what I can do. I never watched that film, so I'm likely to miss any meaningful references
its a movie where main guy starts off looking like hes 100yrs old but as gets older his body/face gets younger....this pic isnt that funny like 40yr old virgin movie poster where they chopped cp3 n tmac face on the character lol
I get it though, real. It’s kind of hard not to when he moves like a deer that just fell out of its mother. Guy runs like he was 5’9 at 17 and then grew a foot in one summer and now he doesn’t know how to use his own legs. All 4 of them.
I dont agree. From what I've seen he's a fluid athlete, just not a leaper. But based on so little playing time, you guys are going real hard at a 2nd round pick. It's no big deal, I just dont get why everyone is ragging on him so badly.
I’m actually rooting for the kid, I don’t want any of our picks to fail. The things he does have going for him are some decent court vision thanks in part to that height, and he does get in there and really go after boards on both ends of the floor.
No not really. He looks awkward really in the sense that he's uncomfortable playing at this speed, but physically he looks great. You want awkward, look at Giannis's little brother Kostas. That kid looks awkward moving around with his size and frame. Bonga looks young for sure, but nothing concerning. Hell, I'd say I saw more awkwardness in Wagner's movements at times because of his physically weak body. File that in the "hot take" category.
I'll just say this. I remember when LeBron was 18 and he looked like he was 26. I actually was thinking looking at him at the SL game 2 nights ago that he literally looks better now than he did then. Maybe it was acne or something. Anyone else remember how old he looked while still in HS and coming into the league? The superb physical conditioning all his young life and the money all help I'm sure.
The question is why didn't Bonga play more? It seems like he wasn't able to compete in summer league which in itself is not very encouraging.
It’s because we were actually trying to win games and he was a turnover machine. He’s too raw for even summer league right now, I see a LOT of G-League in his future, which is fine. He needs it.
I’m not sure how fully guaranteed it is. We gave Anthony Brown a “guaranteed” contract super early too and he was gone after one season.
Actually according to Pincus, it's guaranteed next year too which I'm assuming was the price of getting him over here away from Germany. He definitely wasn't ready for SL and I definitely admit that's not a good look, but I still think there's something there. Either we trust the FO or we chalk this one up to a rare loss.
fully guaranteed second year for...what we just saw? that's hard to fathom. gotta be a team option. though i guess the cap hit for cutting him is roughly equivalent to a roster charge for cap purposes? maybe not. anyway, weird, because he looked like a 9th grader out there. except his face, which legit looks 45.
Nope, it's fully guaranteed at 1.5 million next year which is definitely a surprise considering how we've been careful with our cap. In fact, I think even Svi's contact isn't fully guaranteed next year. That's why I suspect Magic had something to do with this pick. I think he saw a big PG and he swooned.
saw magic talking during the game last night and came away feeling like he should stick to FA and avoid meddling in the already-highly-functional draft situation.
