Ladies and Gentleman, That's your MVP right there. We really felt the loss of Caruso as another play maker and Hart put the team on his back along with Svi.
Incredible game, he did everything out there except make timely free throws. Ha. But really though, he’s showing that he’s a class above even lottery picks out there.
Saw someone on Twitter say it and I agree: I'm not sure anyone has raised their stock in Summer League the way Josh Hart is now. At the end of the NBA season Josh was in a good groove and playing well, but it was written off a bit as a guy putting up numbers on a bad team. Well he's showing the entire league that he's got what it takes to be a real player in the NBA. Is he a star? Probably not, but he's looking like an NBA starter right now against these (mostly) non-NBA guys. He's playing at an incredible level and if he can keep this up, I'm not sweating missing on anyone else this summer to pair with LeBron. (Not because Josh will be that #2 guy, but because he'll provide the kind of depth that can get us to the Playoffs. Suck it PJ Carlisimo).
Incredible game. Put the team on his back...I'm excited to see him play this year and i hope at some point, he's starting for us...but he's going to be super valuable for us off the bench playing the back up 1 and 2 spots and very valuable to us when we have injuries (because increased PT for him is going to be a great thing for us)
Hart (and Svi) keep me thinking...so wait...Zo, KCP, BI, Lebron & (anyone @ 5) come out and Kuz, Svi, Hart, Rondo (anyone @ 5) come in? (and yeah, I'm ready to put Svi NB4 Lance) If Lebron/Kuz wasn't in the equation I'm not so sure one of those units outshines the other.
I thought Hart said it best in the post game. The idea was great in what he wanted to do but the execution was terrible. Fouls out AND they still had a foul to give.
Definitely a lot to Love about Hart's Game. He's already shown glimpses of this at the NBA level too, so I don't think this is all just a Summer League fluke.
This is a fun read, I hadn’t even noticed Josh drew 3 defenders when he passed to Mayes for that open 3 he hit Also, yeah I know the spin move has always technically been traveling, my dad used to tell me and get mad at it, but it’s still a thing of beauty
josh hart: summer league lebron: regular season seriously, he's just dominating these games in all ways. i lol'd when sexton got all in his stance in the end of (i think) the first OT (after hart had settled for a three in similar situation), and hart just let the clock get all the way down to three seconds or so and just blew right by him.
