Yeah, that will be him looking like an MVP player again in Toronto. It's perfect. No way we should have caved to San Antonio with what they wanted. We're halfway home. He shows he still has it and then he lets them know in front of the deadline he's still set on walking to L.A. We give up picks and maybe Moe or Zu or Svi or combo there and keep everyone else. OR he walks for nothing at the end of the season. It's time for this guy to walk the talk now both physically and mentally.

I believe, according to Jaguar, the appropriate word to describe a woman like that is "husky"... however, I wouldn't know about such things!

We're not sleeping on him. All the highlights and things people say that he is are all true but all those things came before an injury that he had to sit out a year for basically with no assurances it holds up for years to come when we're trying to make deep playoff runs or simply playing 3 games in 5 nights.

I'm all for taking that risk by signing him next July but I'm bolted to the floor and have been from the start in that I'm not giving up any of (Kuzma, Ingram, Hart, and Zo) for him. PERIOD.

This is what the Spurs want. Make no mistake this is their scheming. They keep talking to teams, possibly even leading them on and then letting little blurbs slip out to the media that they might have something. It's all an effort to get the Lakers to include multiple youths in our offer, or specific youths (i.e. Ingram, not Hart + whatever/whomever). The fact is the Lakers are ready to roll with this group and wait out the season for more moves or they are putting forth the facade that this is the case. The Spurs have no choice but to give in or trade the moody bastard to a team he may well walk on. The Cris Carter leak saying that Pop told Kawhi that he will move him somewhere that makes him happy doesn't help their leverage either.

I get that BT, but are we cryogenically freezing Bron to thaw him out in a year then?

If you have the world's best player in his prime right the f now, you don't wait for later.

Our kids around Bron will develop exponentially...but still, I can't see them make the jump into Klaw territory by next postseason.

His injury is a true ?, but if a deal is made, that means his medicals checked out... And a year worth of training...yeah, I got no worries about Kawhi at all.

Still, I hold off on BI being included until it becomes our last resort.

All you that keep saying this .... a physical doesn't mean squat compared to actually seeing him on the floor after being out for a whole f****** year. He could force a trade at the deadline by confirming he will walk at the end of the season only to the Lakers. We could give a lot less to Toronto at that point than SA was asking and still have him for the championship run in the playoffs this year. Or we wait. Need to see him on the floor before giving up ANY of our prime talent that is left. Have already given up a bunch to be in this position. Have some patience and enjoy seeing LeBron play with the talent already here and what's been brought in for this season.

Simmons and your guy, Randle, sat out a whole f***ing year too... How'd that turn out? Unless you think Jules was a shell of his true self, you shouldn't be worried about Kawhi sitting out a year to rehab/train... especially if he's doing it in conjunction of leveraging his way out of SA.

Imho, the optics look more strategic than health misshap related.

Julius and Simmons weren't coming back from their worst battle ever with an injury that that article said he has had issues with since 2012. So clearly something is going on and got a lot worse last year. This was the injury that those that know say you can never get completely free of having it flare up again, after it gets to a certain stage. You'll live for half a season or a full season in the meantime. If he doesn't have the balls to stay steadfast in wanting to come to L.A. and play on a championship quality deep roster with LeBron James, once he gets here himself .... seriously f*** him. He would be P**** K at that point. Kobe has it right. They need to want to be here.

Uhh, he was about to end the dubs before the '17 WCF even started, and then got ZaZa'd.

He was gimpy against the Rox in the semis too, but helped get the Spurs to the WCF.

He can play through injuries/pain...but sure, keep revising history bro to fit your narrative.

Btw, Bron has a bad back too...so why send JC, Nance, DLo out for him... They the youth...can't get rid of them dudes for a Finalllllls loser, right?
