I am probably in the minority here, but I'd take a shot on him.

    I just don't see the fit/space.

    Lonzo/Rondo/Bonga
    Pope/Hart
    Ingram/Stephenson/Mykhailiuk/Deng
    LeBron/Kuzma/Wagner
    McGee/Zubac

If you add Lopez, I think that's a set roster pretty much and has 15 guaranteed spots. Unless we pick Carmelo over Lopez, but boy are we missing some size in that case.

I'm interested in some crazy lineups with Lonzo/Ingram/Kuzma/Carmelo/LeBron

But is that more important than a rim protector? Maybe we got McGee by promising him more opportunity/playing time. I don't know.

I just question the fit. Can’t see him taking a backseat to the young guys and we’ve already got several strong personalities coming in.

Too redundant and no space for him. He doesn’t want to change his role so its a no for me.

he knows by now he would not be starting. My guess is, if he comes, he knows exactly what needs to be done.

How does Melo work in Houston? He is a ball stopper. They dont ball stop there.

Yes, Anthony will muck up their ball movement, be a locker room distraction, act entitled for more minutes, be a sieve defensively. Damn straight, I want Houston to sign him!

I would be in shock if he goes to Houston. Melo doesn't like Mikey D. And I don't think Mike likes Melo.

Melo should probably go where all New York geezers go to die. Miami.

i disagree. houston doesn't really move the ball. harden and paul are the ultimate ball stoppers. the question is whether melo can fit in as purely a finisher. he's actually trended that way over the past few years, i think. he's doing less dribbling and holding and more letting it fly. he'd fit right in with what houston does offensively...IF he's willing to basically play the ryan anderson role.

i won't. they tried like hell to get him last year, and he had agreed to be traded there. whatever problem he and pringles had must not be enough to prevent him from going there. i'll actually be surprised if he doesn't go to houston. i don't understand his fit in la at all as a non-playmaker/non-passer. he's not going to get out on the break, and he plays the same spot (combo forward) as lebron, ingram, and kuzma. meanwhile, he slots right in as the 4 in houston's system.

maybe i'm just hoping. i don't think he moves the needle much in houston, and i don't particularly want him in la (unless we get to trade deng for him).

problem is that i don't think anyone wants him that badly, despite the reports. we'll find out soon, i guess.

Hopefully not here. Roster has 1 spot after we sign Svi, hopefully that goes to Lopez, and then we’re at 17 counting our 2-way contracts. Zero need for Melo here, Kuzma is probably better than him at this point in his career. I don’t want him taking a single minute of playing time away from Ingram, Kuz, Hart, or even time Svi could use to develop.

I think Houston is perfect for him, all they play is ISO ball.

Yeah OX, I'm not sure you watched the same Houston team anyone else did. They're nothing but an isolation team.
