    Yes I understand all that.

Kawhi is better than him if Kawhi is healthy. A lot better than him! I love Ingram, but let's be a little real about this. If we can trade Ingram for Kawhi, we should. As long as Kawhi passes his physical, we win.

    Every day my mind changes.

Yesterday I said keep Ingram, but dammit, Kawhi is an amazing player. Lets just sit on our hands and wait for Kawhi next summer so we can have both. Either that or make Kawhi be a Clipper.

That's the whole point though. Passing a physical is nothing like being on the floor playing like an MVP in the NBA. This problem has been around since 2012 and got really bad last year.

Look at their respective numbers at 20 and Ingram's work ethic. Too early to take a chance on losing him without seeing him play this year and Leonard play.

    Completely fair.

I'm of the opinion of waiting until February to see how BI meshes with Lebron. Kawhi might be in another situation by then, but I'd hate getting rid of BI without the opportunity to see how he does next to a player of Lebron's quality.

    I think he will shine.

If Kawhi seriously considers in FA next year IF he has been healthy .... playing wherever .... playing for the Clippers then I hope like hell soon Paul George decides to go to a Dodgers game this summer without a disguise .... where the cameras can pick him up. Ask Chris Paul and any ex Clippers that were stupid enough to do that. Why embarrass your kids and your family?

But again, Kawhi was not a lot better than Ingram at age 20. Ingram is better right now than Kawhi was at the same age. If we saw ANY kind of character flaw in Ingram, then, maybe, but the kid is as true blue as they come, works his rear off during the off season and is only going to get better as he grows. I'm not trading BI.

I don't know. Like I've said in other places, I think we need Kawhi, Lebron AND Ingram to contend with the Warriors. Sure, Kawhi and Lebron gets us closer, but in making that trade, we will lack the ability to go get a player that can put us over the top. Ingram can be that player. I think it's worth the gamble to wait and try to have all 3 and a legit chance to contend as opposed to just the two where we'd in all honesty be relying on either Durant or Steph getting hurt. I realize it's a gamble, but if we're championship or bust, we need to roll the dice on getting all three. It's like we need to be Level 10 to beat the Warriors. Right now we're Level 6. Trading Kawhi for Ingram gets us to Level 8. But now we have lost our ability to get to 10 before Lebron's window closes.

With Randle's particularly unique and positive contributions gone, we can't afford to blow it again now with the uniqueness of Ingram and Kuzma as well. Lonzo most certainly too. But LaVar is likely in process committing the ultimate act of stupidity, even for him, in being such a Jupiter sized PITA that the Lakers will ship Lonzo out at some point for a lesser talent to implement Magic and Rob and Luke's vision.

At the rate LaVar is running his mouth, it’s becoming increasingly likely than Lonzo will be gone. At some point, Magic and Rob will reach a breaking point. For the well being of the franchise, they have to. Like you said, we already have lost Randle. To trade Ingram leaves us possibly getting rid of all 3 of our lottery picks.

You know if Magic and Lonzo are doing film sessions and basketball and life talk frequently together just the two of them, before Magic does have to ship him out, I'd sure hope he would point blank say to Lonzo this is how it is. Do you want to remain a Los Angeles Laker? At some point when it's to our advantage you will no longer be one if you don't get your Dad to stop attacking the organization. Does he have any balls or not? Does he want to remain playing within walking distance of that multi-million dollar penthouse like high rise home he just bought?

It's less about that and more about building a team around Lebron. If I knew we could snag Lillard for Ball and Kawhi for Ingram (due to Kawhi making less right now) then I'd pull the trigger. But Kawhi and Lebron alone aren't enough in my opinion. I also think trading Ingram for Kawhi runs counter to the Lakers plan of sustained success. We are looking to do the C Bags model of vets making a ton and talented kids making nothing. If we can get Kawhi in free agency, then I think we can give the Warriors a real run for their money. Cause I also doubt it will cost us JUST Ingram.

I see what the front office is doing by not trading for Kawhi. The Warriors are SO good we need a little luck and to roll the dice to beat them. We've already rolled the dice a couple times to get this close. I think keeping our fingers crossed we can sign him in free agency is the final gamble to see if we get this thing turned around.

    ?/Zubac/Wagner
    Lebron/Year 3 Kuzma
    Year 4 Ingram/?
    Kawhi/Hart
    Year 3 Ball/?

This is what the front office wants.

I don't think you can count on it either. But Kawhi, Lebron, Ball and Kuzma isn't enough to beat the Warriors without injuries.

It's pretty effing close honestly. And with the bench we've blostered? I'd definitely take the chance.

But I understand I'm alone with that.
