I'm sure they tried to find ways to keep him or told him about if wanting to play in San Antonio. Just sucks cuz I was really hoping we would try to keep randle

I think we should have waited until a team made him an offer, then either wait until he accepted it and matched it (before trading him) or he'll be forced to accept the QO and we can move him then.

He didn't want to be here. Why would we force him to stay?

Not to keep him, but to trade him just so we don't end up empty handed. I'm just trying to see what other options we may have had, this is all very bizarre lol

Smart move by an agent. Burn the bridge to the most legendary franchise that just so happens to be "in" again. I'm sure that will work out well with clients.

Weird, but maybe it was what many of us worried it might develop into besides the happy spin on how good it was for Julius to have been handled the way he was with the demotion last year and like I brought up the other day they never even throw him a bone when talking about their young talent. Hate to be all the Lakers players in the years to come that will be taking the lumps and bruises and elbows to the their grilles and noses every time he plays us. He's going to be a load in his own unique way.

Who's going to guard Randle now? LeBron? Kuzma? Maybe Boogie, hopefully.

All this guy did was everything Magic asked of him last season. Lost weight, got stronger and improved his game tremendously. Just doesn’t seem right.

So I’m guessing the answer is no, but do we like still have his bird rights to offer him a deal that takes us over the cap as a UFA?

I agree, not happy to see Randle gone, but I am happy to see no players on our team represented by that fool. Similar to Ariza’s agent, he cost his client a chance at remaining on a title contending team.

Once a team renounces a player, the bird rights are gone.

Lakers are about winning titles now guys. Randle can't shoot, can't protect the rim and can't guard centers. Hes limited greatly. Lakers won't miss a beat.
