    Love the KCP signing as a negotiating tactic here.

    Removes our cap space now but keeps a max open for Kawhi next year, so kinda forces San Antonio’s hand. Either you take Deng and Ingram, or we’re signing Kawhi.

    Sounds like they will be announcing Kawhi tomorrow. I wouldn’t be surprised if our draft picks this year are included. We will know since summer league starts up. Will Hart be there? Who else won’t be there.

    Well, Wagner can’t be included because he officially signed today. I do not want to lose Hart, but with LeBron in hand, if we “only” only have to do Ingram and Hart plus picks I could get over it. I sincerely hope that if we make a deal it’s just one of the kids, picks and pieces though. Really, really want to have Hart long-term.

    Same here, really want to keep Hart but the KCP signing makes me thing he’ll be included in the Kawhi package.

    Which really sucks, because Hart IS KCP with probably better defense and on a contract a fraction of the price. Hart wouldn’t be in any of my offers that aren’t last resorts, it would be Ingram, Zu, like Svi and picks. Ingram is my favorite Laker, but you have to give to get.

    losing Hart is gonna suck, but you have to give up something to get something.

    BI, Hart, fillers and draft picks for Kawhi makes the Lakers the favorite to win it all.

    I wouldn’t say the favorites, but I would say it would put us right there with Houston. The defending champs are always the favorites if they return with the same team as they have years of chemistry built up. It would make us contenders and a major GS injury would move us up. At the very least we’d have the 2 players that have given GS the most trouble the past couple years.

    I agree. This has Kawhi deal/Hart gone all over it. Unless Stephenson is the backup PG. 3 wings added, no backup PG, no Center. Something is brewing.

    Sorry, no inside scoop. I was just speaking it into existence. I just figure it will happen because the Lakers will walk away from the table tomorrow morning, Kawhi is willing to sit out of the spurs season if he doesn’t get to the Lakers, and the fall in dominoes are bringing us vets already. No reason for the spurs to hold out or trade him somewhere else.
