Where's Klapper jumping in and saying it's all good when we need him? Like with somehow his immediate observation on Kawhi Leonard flying for the Lakers.

This so sucks and hope it doesn't sideline him too long. Will his A-hole father go out and criticize the Laker's staff again? Some point you'd think maybe they could sue his sorry a** for slander or something.

His summer training is likely done...but it's all based on how severe the tear is. You can't really know the severity on imaging... a surgeon would find out how severe it is once he opens Zo up.

I agree his frequent injuries are annoying, but hot damn you guys are dramatic as hell.

This makes more sense to me after hearing he got a PRP injection. PRP injections aren't typically given unless there's some damage, it's not usually something you use like an aspirin.

Slender young guys usually have trouble staying healthy. It's not an ACL or MCL, He should be healthy for the start of summer camp. Magic has reportedly been happy with his progress and he clearly looks bigger and stronger than he was.

    Deep breaths.

This isn't a continuing new problem, it's the same problem they've been dealing with for a while. They diagnosed it at the end of the season so it's possible (probable) that he was playing with this towards the end of the year. This didn't happen yesterday and in fact could be entirely healed already given the time he took off.

But this is why you need a starting guard. He needs to get his body right before getting extended minutes. It was a necessity this last year, but if we get stars this summer, we don't need to hand Zo those type of mins.

Come up off the bench at 20-25 mins per and go earn your starting spot back.

I'm really hoping Rondo comes (which is more likely if George stays in OKC and we turn to Boogie).

Of all the things you say vash, this is the craziest.

Just get a vet to play behind him.

    Are you serious, Real?

When should we start handing rookies starting spots? It was a necessity last year...this upcoming season (as projected), not so much.

You're the one talking nutty in trusting this guy with lenghty minutes.

You want to develop him the right way...don't rush physical growth in a contact sport. Get your body right while you do, come up off the bench and warm your spot. No handouts!

    Ya serious bro?

Ok so why in the blue hell are we breaking this news TODAY of ALL DAYS?!

God, I hate the timing of this so much more now that i know that we've known about it since end of the season but waited until today to say it?

Did you guys read the article? This isn’t a new injury, no idea why it’s being reported as such, it’s why I dislike twitter click-bait headlines

    https://sports.yahoo.com/sources-lakers-guard-lonzo-ball-torn-meniscus-left-knee-222842367.html

Apparently Ramona said on the radio that it likely came from Lonzo’s camp, doesn’t know why.

Are you kidding me? Magic and Rob will put out a hit on this fool Lavar if he instigated any of this the day before FA and in the midst of trade talks for Leonard.

If he did it ... seriously this seems like they could sue them for leaking privileged and likely NDA protected company information. Lonzo can't even do that. WTF if true.

It was long rumored the Spurs didn’t want him but maybe that changed. His name may also have come up in one of the side deals we are supposed to be considering now.

I like Lonzo but honestly I would be fine with ending all this now and being done with the Lavar circus

100% serious. He's better than any PG you get in FA or likely any PG in trade. We "hand him" the starting role because he's a starting caliber player when he's not injured (which admittedly isn't often enough).

You're being silly trying to bench him.

Its silly to demand a kid to taxing minutes when his body ain't built for it. And that's blatantly obvious...ain't it?

Lakers FO has been preaching sustainability this summer. This is as much for the long play as it is to get immediately competitive. I'm looking out for Zo, especially if he wants to make it into 15 season territory.

Bring him in slowly while his body develops and gets stronger. When he's physically ready, make him earn his spot.

If that ain't player development than I don't know what is.
