It really sounds like George's waffling has caused people to question where he lands. Seems to me like this would be an obvious choice for him. I don't think this is totally a smokescreen anymore, I believe George genuinely is going to give OKC a good shot to keep him. I think George values the type of value OKC is putting in him. But I am still of the mind that once he sits with Magic and Magic says "we team you with LeBron", it's going to be an impossible offer to turn down. How do you turn that down? Come home, play with LeBron, play with the young kids you get along with so well (Hart), and play for the Lakers and Magic Johnson. I honestly for the life of me cannot fathom turning that down to play in OKC with Russell Westbrook. I just cannot fathom that.
I'm also almost sure PG stays. His documentary is pretty obvious... He loves LA bla bla bla but ultimately wants to take care of unfinished business and be an early playoff exit the rest of his career. The fact that part 2 was all LA is weird. It usually means part 3 has to go in the other direction. Otherwise it is poorly scripted lol Right now there are no indications of him coming to LA.
The health concerns are scary...but on a prove it deal, I really like Boogie/Bron/Kawhi. If George is seriously fine with playing touchbutt...uh, paintball with Russ in OKC, then we still have options. Plus all-star weekend had team captain Bron pick a certain Boogie to be on his squad. If George won't come, then it's not like we're in a desperate situation.
Chris may have been right about Lebron in 2014 but he's been wrong about everything else from what I can remember. I'm leery of believing any of his sources, even the good ones that paint us in a good picture.
From what I've heard, Boogie won't be ready health wise till mid season. It's a huge concern to sign him. I would rather keep Randle, trade for Kawhi than sign Boogie at this point.
Yeah, the health issue is scary no doubt. And for a big dude, weight is a huge factor to effective recovery. PG is still the better option, but I wouldn't be mad at Boogie as a contingency. Plus Bron has better help here in LA than he had in Cleveland last year, so he can keep us afloat till Boogie gets back. He did get the Bron thing right tho... And at this point that's all that matters to me. Bron is the first domino we need to fall. If Sheridan is right about him leaving Cleveland (and it sure looks that way right now) then it's almost certainly for us over Philly.
True... That's the better non-star contingency for sure. But Bron/PG well dictate terms. If PG comes to LA, I think Mintz makes sure Jules is taken care of. I really hope they want Jules on the roster. But out of all our kids, his contract situation makes him the best guy to trade Kawhi for (along with a possible Spurs salary dump ie Pau). I want Kawhi here (more than Bron) if I haven't made that blatantly clear already. Haha
Im starting to think, that this little chicken s*** won't even meet with Rob & Magic. He wants to stay in OKC (to play a second fiddle and end the playoffs on the 2nd round) and is scared that Magic might convince him to come. DeAndre 2.0
