Long long hiatus, just wanna come back and say this PG "series" is the most r******* thing i've ever seen. Who the hell makes a mini series about your decision in free agency? At least Lebron had one special show and that's it. Even still, that's Lebron.....this dude is Paul George.....really? Do i want him in LA? Only if it meant Lebron comes. If not....eh whatever...notabigdeal.
I was thinking the same thing. Guess Presti agreed to go along with it trying whatever he can to appease Paul. But if he picks the Lakers .... LOL.
This is some Hollywood ****. He set it up perfectly to choose OKC. So naturally he will pick LA and be a hero at home.
Unfortunately as much as I hoped we had Paul George in the bag, it sounds like he rather play with Russ than LeBron/family/childhood dream
He made a big point of saying championship was above the money. There was a reason for that. He gave that big intro to LA, then later when he mentions alternative (to OKC) teams he could go to he skips Lakers but mentions "Boston, Clippers..." Now why even bring up the Clips unless you are just stringing everyone along in this show of yours? Please. Clips, lol. Even DJ is bailing that ship. And going to the C-Bags after growing up a Laker fan would require spinal surgery. Ask Wheelchair #34. If it's all about championships then you don't need a time machine to see what's coming OKC's way. On the other hand, you can be at the start of something very BIG back home, that you had a hand in building from basically scratch, instead of hopping from already-built contender to contender, on the team you just so eloquently stated would be a dream come true to play for. Duh. This is hard.
Wants to win a championship with Russ...loses to a young Jazz team with a rookie leading them. Or...you join the player who took his team to 8 straight NBA Finals. It ain’t that hard.
If PG is really this clueless then OKC can have him. There are way too many “signs” pointing to OKC in the video like a predictable movie for him to go “and although I felt the most comfortable with my chance at contending with Russ, I felt I have a better opportunity in LA joining Lebron.”
Regardless of where he chooses, why make a big production that disses a market? You either say bye to OKC fans that want you there and who have just had to deal with a loss 2yrs ago with KD. Or you say never mind to the Lakers fan base who thought you were coming home based on your stated desire a year ago to come to the Lakers and the obviousness of the Lakers being a better option than OKC. If I’m his agent, we don’t do the documentary at all. A market will be unnecessarily pissed off instead of just being disappointed.
I don't disagree, but I think the goal is actually the opposite. He'll use the 3rd video to be really apologetic to everyone about where he ends up. It'll look really hard for him to have turned down the others and now you see how torn he was about choosing Team X. It's not a good idea, but I'm 90% sure that's the goal here.
i'll enjoy watching their final implosion. possible we trade deng's corpse for george this time next year.
If he ends up staying in OKC, he better move out of LA too. Otherwise he'll be heckled so badly every time he's home. He'll get booed out of Disneyland like there's no tomorrow. Wait... Is that why he spent this summer going to Disneyland, Sea World and the like?
throwing it in the lakers' face with a documentary will earn him my ire, for sure. could have just respectfully stayed put. instead, he'll be the latest to publicly embarrass the organization to the squealing delight of the throng. how'd that work out for lamarcus aldridge and greg monroe. think about it, brah.
The third episode might be him keeping the door open to join the Lakers next year after resigning on a 1+1 deal. Imagine the anger that would cause if he pulled a stunt like that.
I would equate PG staying with OKC to Marc Gasol dissing us and returning to Mem, I'll predict OKC ends up the same way within a yr or two if Russ starts getting hurt. Now I'm not sure where we'd be right now if Marc had chosen to sign here but I dont think we'd be a capped out team paying taxes that still owes 1st rd picks to other teams (OKC still owes a 1st to somebody as well lol)
