So thats like what 6 items?
Kawhi wanting out knocks one out. Kawhi wants specifically Lakers knocks another one out. Kawhi is on the last year of his contract, might knock out a draft pick. Kawhi is coming back from a pretty big injury, knocks another one out.

I give you Randle, Zu and a bunch of future draft picks. If you want Ingram, I'm giving you Deng too.

Ingram, Randle (S & T), Deng and Zu for Kawhi. Do it, Magic & Rob!

If I'm Boston, I get very serious with a Kyrie offer, but I'm not sure they feel confident in this getting done. Their previous offer was a single 1st round pick next year in a bad draft.

The Spurs have less leverage than I thought.

Eff all that! Respectfully. Randle, Zubac, Moe and 2 first round pics is my armchair offering. We don't need to gut more than one future all star at this time. Or f*** it roll with Bron and PG and try to keep Randle but for sure everyone else the FO and Luke value highly and get something good for Randle when he has to be traded.

Ingram, Randle, Deng and 19 1st for Kawhi and Danny Green. Take it or leave it.

That’s the best offer you will get.

And since there is no way Ainge trades Kyrie for a one year Kawhi rental, that leaves exactly one option for the dwindling leverage Spurs.

Well... there's definitely a shot they move Kyrie since Kyrie is also expiring. But if I'm the C Bags, I still dont do it unless I know Kawhi is re-signing.

I’d do it if I were the C Bags. They did fine without Kyrie for a looong period and they’d still have Hayward, Tatum and Horford, and Kyrie is fickle and could leave anyway.

There is no way Kyrie would sign long term with an aging Spurs team that is going to also lose Pop soon.

Still might be worth it for San Antonio to take that shot instead of the Lakers (from their perspective). It's the George situation. That's assuming of course the C Bags fo that. I feel like they'd hate the optics of trading for Kawhi and then he walks to LA.

And SA begins wheelin and dealin...

Hope that had y'all trolln haha.

But there is some impact to this. Now all these dudes are open to trade. Also with these tenders as well as getting Walker in the draft, SA is literally sitting on the cap. They have no cap space and are about 20M away from paying taxes. And that's if they renounce all their FAs (like Parker and Lee).

They have the 8.8m MLE at their disposal, but not much else to pacify Kawhi to stay. Also this will impact how they absorb S&t players (like Jules) since they would be hard-capped and have roughly a 30M buffer from the apron. In that case, they also lose the ability to use the mle.

They will be looking to shed salary in a Kawhi deal.

    Also...

Lakers hold all the cards. Lebron and George are coming almost certainly. Kawhi is icing on the cake, incredibly good icing. The best part is that even if no one comes we are a playoff team and develop our young guns to be the next dynasty in a few years. No pressure here. Kawhi is my favorite non-Laker player but I still don't get carried away. We are set long term unless we do something really stupid and I just don't see Rob and Magic doing that.

I have exact opposite feeling, which is we're going to end up with one giant goose egg. Things are way to public about LBJ, PG, and Kawhi.

yea, i feel there is no middle ground here... we either lay a big egg or get 2/3 of these guys... just grabbing PG, for example, doesnt seem likely at the moment...
