It was the Spurs' way of setting the bar high though which is my point.

Of all the scenarios to lose Julius this with a gun to my head take it or boom .... if Randle was the only young casualty to bring back Kawhi .... this would be the least painful.

But there has to be a certainty that Kawhi Leonard is the same player after all the information on there being potential and irreversible long term effects if he happens to be running in that risky category. We need to see him play through the deadline. We need to see Randle play through the deadline.

I don't agree Woj has been the Spurs mouthpiece (he's been the only reporting the talks are poor between the two parties), but I do believe he's 100% their mouthpiece right now.

I'm not sure PG signs without Lebron.

It's going to be a mutual decision between the two.

I hate all this s*** so much. I can’t wait for free agency to just be over, so much flip flopping in the media, so much up in the air. We cannot strike out in free agency, I really hope PG isn’t stupid enough to go back to OKC.

Stephen A also said in the next segment he’s heard from some people in LA that Kawhi wouldn’t want to play with LeBron because of the media circus. He then said that info probably comes from the Clippers though, as they also want Kawhi. So much lying going on.

I would like to believe so, but I wouldn't think that's the case if one of his main sticking points is to be competing for a title straight away. I know OKC doesn't give him that either, but it's definitely a factor with Russ.

Lots still pushing that "George might stay in OKC" button, but I don't buy that either. Spurs need to move fast and they know it.

edit- and to be fair, Kawhi and the Lakers have a little urgency as well if they want to get this thing done this summer. Getting Kawhi later could be more costly as teams who are fringe teams might be willing to give up more to get Kawhi than they are right now, even if it's a rental. And if the Lakers want all three of George, LeBron, and Kawhi this is the best window. FA leverage gets tougher next summer if we've got two maxes already and the kids are more established. We'd have to dump some of them, Ingram and/or Lonzo most likely since they're getting paid the most.

Time for the Spurs to accept reality and work on a real deal here.
