I'm so conflicted on how I feel about this documentary. Apart of me wants to believe George is starting off kinda thanking OKC for what they did for him and his family, by preparing the rest of the series on why he's coming home etc. However the other part of me is really worried that OKC won his heart and family's, and with his deep relationship with Russ that he's setting up this series to apologize to everyone (us Lakers fans) about his decision to stay in okc. ...... FML
That is 100% true. Whoever he picks, now he can show the rest of the league "look how much I cared about the decision, it was tough". Still think it's LA.
idk, my most telling thing about it was seeing him happy with his family all being here in LA, it's hard to say no to that. their his support system along with his agent. his mom saying how he wants to win a championship, who better to pair up with than the guy who's made it to 8 straight NBA Finals? OKC just lost in the first round to a scrappy young Utah team, they haven't done and don't have the assets to make any roster upgrades to improve on the team, how do they expect to improve on last year? more time? nah. meanwhile, we've positioned ourselves with a load of young talent, an improved winning culture mentality, the roster space to pair him with the best player in the league, and it to top it all off, it's freaking home!
I hope this is all just to smokescreen to avoid any further tampering charges...just reallyyyyy playing it up that George hasn't made up his mind to the point where LeBron is unsure about coming and lakers are feeling the "Pressure" to get Kawhi.
There's no need for those shots at Ramona. Unlike others in her field, she's tremendously competent, hard working, and thoughtful. She's also 6 months pregnant now.
^^^ I suspect she also has a thyroid condition. But like Real said, we're better than that. We should only make fun of how sirron looks. That's the golden rule around here.
Guys let's get back on topic... I really hope the Lakers know something we don't regarding PG13... Regarding his 3-part documentary...I just don't see why he would stay! Everything he's saying is pointing to the Lakers...even the structure of the documentary and how he's thanking OKC first...that leads me to believe he's going to come around at the end and explain why he has to leave and how tough of a decision it was...shower them with love and appreciation and then hit them with the hard truth...
@Khmrp Thanks for clarifying bro. Its pretty obvious by now that PG is a people pleaser. After Indy ousted Lance, he even had to make it about him not being the monster....so you know he is going to do things that are mindful and not savage (like Kawhi is currently doing in SA). I can see this docuseries being an apologetic attempt to leave OKC....but I can also see it as an apologetic denial to LA. If he chooses LA, Jules will be taken care of (financially) cause you know Mintz will find a way to get George to LA and take care of Jules (whether that's here or somewhere else). I can also see George opting in so that OKC gets a TPE or to make things complicated, he can opt out and agree to a S&T so that OKC has a larger TPE. Either way, he'll take care of OKC if he leaves. However, if he stays in OKC, this docuseries is one huge apology letter to the Lakers so that his hometown doesn't hate him.
I like Ramona. I get the feeling she knows more than she shares in regards to Lakers and instead of making more of a name for herself, she shows loyalty. How can we hate that??
If the reports are true, things are getting ugly for the lakers. They are losing leverage and hopefully they don't get desperate for a big name and trade away pieces.
I agree with you. I posited that theory a couple of pages back. I’ll just leave this thought... If PG really has chosen OKC he could’ve just come out and said it, no? That would spare Lakers fans the heart break. That’s would I do so people wouldn’t get their hopes only to have them dashed. The longer it goes on the more hope increases... the greater the crash. Unless, he has no intention of signing with OKC and has to save face with a docuseries...
