I think PG does have his own interests in mind completely and that this was his toughest decision. Doesn't mean he hasn't made up his mind though and that this is all been a show recently but I am only 80% sure he's decided to come to LA.

Keep in mind that "family" absolutely includes "money" and the last time I checked, 70+ million dollars is pretty good for any family's future. And that's how much more PG can get guaranteed by staying in OKC minus whatever he would be paid the year after LA's 4 year contract expired at the age of 32. Whatever that is, it won't be 70 million.

When he says "I love Russ and the organization" he's really saying "I love 70 million". It is a tough decision.

What? No gyms, friends, training partners in OKC?

Apparently not. His BFF Westbrook was in Paris at a fashion show.

I keep coming back to the fact that LeBron is working the phones. You’re really telling me LeBron can’t convince PG to come and play with him on the Lakers? As opposed to staying in Okla-friggin-homa to play with Carmelo friggin Anthony? That’s just unfathomable to me.

^ some people are just stupid though. Sometimes you simply can't "work" around that.

This video documentary only makes sense if he is coming to LA.

Otherwise it really doesn't make any sense. Why would you do a trilogy to announce that are are happy with everything and staying put.

Do you think he would feel the pressure to explain himself to the Laker fans? He could probably care less. And certainly he isn't doing this to explain himself to his family.

It also means to me that his decision, whatever it is....has been made a long time ago. Otherwise he certainly wouldn't have come up with a documentary if he didn't knew what it's ending is going to look like. Magic and Rob's confidence is unshaken thus far...I'm pretty sure the agent of PG has talked to the Lakers in a Julius Randle meeting (wink wink)...and they know exactly whats going on.

i think there's no way of telling where he's going by virtue of the simple fact that he's making a documentary.

good news is that we're about a week away from all the speculation ending.

I can see why he would want to apologize or explain to LA fans why he'd chose OKC. Firstly his family still lives in SoCal and secondly, we've seen how much time he spent here during the offseason. The guy probably doesn't want fans heckling him or his family, some fans can get pretty nasty.

Absolutely. The "Idiot Quotient" is a major factor, and if PG doesn't come to the Lakers, that'll be why.

See Dwight The Clown as an example. He didn't choose to come here, had a chance to build something here with one of the greatest basketball players of all time, left it "to have fun".

The OKC experiment failed, there was zero semblance of any success in what they tried. He has a chance to play in his hometown, with one of the greatest players in NBA history, in the one of the biggest markets, with a team on the rise, brimming with young talent in a system that is meant to be unselfish. He'd honestly be the most skilled scorer on the team and probably option 1A if Lebron decides to play a more distributive role on the team whereas he'd still be taking a backseat to the two biggest blackholes in the NBA.

    PG PHONE HOME.
