I'm pretty certain you can talk openly about your own free agents.

I mean, the STAYDwight banners hung outside Staples, orchestrated by our FO, would have been a huge tampering offense, no?

Rob and the staff has seen what Jules and BI do...plus they go off on their own with their people and train. Those guys have been doing that kind of thing, while this is the 1st summer that Zo, Kuz and Hart are working out under their watch...and for the most part are staying local.

Imho, I really don't think its any tell of who's getting traded, rather its just Rob acknowledging what the rookies have shown and how they will continue to work.

Maybe they're also trying to keep the noise down on Jules by not discussing him like that..^^-----

I think he probably wants to avoid talking about Jules right now...because we gotta wait for these FA's to tell us yes or no before we can make ANY moves with Julius

I just hope that Rob is in constant contact with Jules agent cuz that's also PG's agent...

I hope he and his Lavar drama are shipped out for Kawhi by that time ...

I know his potential but for me he is by far the least likeable guy we have on the roster. Starting from his dad and never speaking up for himself, to like really showing no personality in interviews and just all the baggage. I might be in the minority but I hope we somehow make him a really valuable trade piece for a guy like Kawhi or Lillard (very unlikely).

I don't think his teammates would agree with you. All the reports I've heard Zo is well liked on the team. Who cares if he is "likeable" in an interview?

Being able to play the camera/interview helps you be a star in this league.

I have to agree. To me too, he is by far the least likable guy on the roster.

Sounds like a robot, has literally no emotions and his dad is pure pain in the arse too. Just not someone who can be idolized. Doesn't mean that he is not a good kid, just not a likable kid.

I thought his spots in The Equalizer commercials during the playoffs were by far the best of that campaign and showed a lot of personality. Not sure if some of you haven’t seen them or just choose not to see it, but the kid has a lot more charisma than he shows with reporters.

Exactly. The kid is already a "star" in the sense that you guys are talking about anyway. He's got twice the media coverage of probably all the other kids in his class combined. He's everywhere. He doesn't need help being a "star".

I don’t care about how “likeable” Lonzo is off-the-court or in interviews.

On the court, he’s extremely likeable and I think that’s apparent to his teammates and other players around the league. Outside of the occasional stretch of bricked jumpers, he’s a joy to watch and plays the game the right way.

I was thinking the other day, and if we hypothetically put together a big 3 of Kawhi, Lebron, and George, I was a bit concerned. On paper I can see them meshing, and they’re just so good that I’m sure they’d eventually figure it out, but you just never know with these super teams if they’ll actually have on-court chemistry. Especially when all are used to being the guy and primary ball handler.

But I think Lonzo puts any of those worries to rest. Even as a sophomore, I’m confident that he’d keep the offense flowing and ensure everyone is in position to succeed. And he can do all that without necessarily needing to be ball dominant.

His teammates love him, and because his Dad was such a loud mouth, you could see he played things conservative in front of the press. Never said a cross word about anyone.

But watching him cut up with the fellas, you know he has that side to him. Pretty sure that will come out more as he matures and grows into himself.
