Precisely my point. Neither team is going to rush it and Randle has an expiration date... pretty soon too.

On paper yes, but I don't think Kawhi/George will be as effective playing next to Lebron as they would be playing by themselves. Playing next to Randle/Capela, such sacrifices to their game aren't necessary.

Except Ingram is still on a rookie contract, can run point, and can shoot...

Randle’s skill set would be overlapped with Lebron and Kawhi more than BI.

Nope. I hate this being perpetuated. Ingram can, in a pinch, bring the ball up court.

He can not consistently (or, if you prefer, hasn't shown the ability to consistently):

    1. penetrate and dish
    2. run pick-n-roll or pick-n-pop or anything, really
    3. direct offense

    and there is more...

That's where imo rob comes in. He doesn't wanna make a name or a legacy off a 3 year run... We got to make this a bare minimum 10 plus year run as a Lakers fan. f*** it, I'm prepared for whatever but give me a 20+ year run. It CAN be done. That's when guys like Jesse buss are involved too... Make a legacy to be great for 20+ years and go down as one of the best to do it. These guys are hungry, and magic is the perfect center piece with the rest of Lakers nation, former HOF players included.

Sorry for the run on paragraph lolz.

    Maybe because

    1. We don’t have shooters to dish to? He’s shown he could do this many a time.
    2. Pick and roll or pop was nonexistent even with Lonzo because our team can’t finish.
    3. Luke used him to the offense on multiple occasions.

The more versatile wings you have , the better you are .

The league would be begging for mercy if we had these 3 in the lineup

Well I don't agree with position-less basketball, so there's that.

    Sign me up for:

    Vet / IT
    Kawhi / Hart
    Lebron / Ingram
    Randle / Vet Min
    Lopez / Zubac

You can run out a line of Hart, Ingram, Kawhi, Lebron, Randle against Curry, Klay, Igudola, Durant, Green. Thanks for coming rest of the league.

No. Because he is not a PG. There is a vast difference between spot PG duties and actually running the team.

I'd rather not have either Ingram or LeBron do it full time. For different reasons, obviously.

Yeah. Vegas has some kind of inside track here. That definitely raises my eyebrow

Yeah, I don’t recall seeing betting for literally everything, but Vegas is not in the game of losing money. Smoke, fire, etc.

This is what I’m hoping for. I think Ingram can absolutely play PG full time. He was a point as a high schooler before he grew into a 6’9 wing. He played some of his best basketball last season in that 13 game stretch that he played PG for Lonzo. Who better to groom a young 6’9 point guard than the greatest big point guard to ever do it in Magic Johnson? Besides, with LBJ, Kawhi and George, what’s the necessity of having a true PG? Those guys can initiate the offense by committee.

I want to retain Ingram by any means because the guy will only be 25 when Lebron, George and Kawhi are in their mid to late 30’s. Retaining Ingram gives us a chance to attract younger free agents in the future once Lebron and co. are gone.

i'm no gambler, but vegas responds to how people are betting, right? so the odds can get pushed around simply because people who don't know anything are putting their money on the same thing.

i'm also not a mathematician, but given size of laker fandom versus the size of the betting pool on things like where kawhi is traded, it seems like optimism could be powerful.

again, though, i don't know enough about how all that works to speak authoritatively. i know that fans of other teams and a lot of the media seem certain leonard won't end up with the lakers. but i guess they're not betting...

all i've read for hours is boston boston boston, spurs love brown/hate lakers, etc.

Yea, I'm sure the spurs will do everything in their power to prevent Kawhi from being a Laker. And Vegas isn't trying to lose a ton of money to our fanatic, crazed betting habits, so that must be contributing to odds at the moment. That combined with the fact that we have ample space to make moves this offseason...
