Not a PP fan, but I do get a kick out of him and Michelle Beadle trolling each other back and forth.

I hate Michelle Beadle too. She’s a hardcore Kobe/Lonzo/Laker hater and Spurs homer, and she thinks her own jokes are hilarious. I liked when Cassidy Hubbarth did the NBA shows.

the best part about this series so far has been kendrick perkins's sorry a** talking crap to the warriors while in a suit on the bench and not having played in like 3 years

Good old fashioned beatdown tonight. That's what I was hoping for. Glad the Warriors cared enough to show up and spank the Cavs as they ought to have. Hopefully this is finished soon. Maybe even by Game 5. Cavs will probably win at least one at home.

Glad to see KD finally have a great game again. Been since the beginning of the Rockets series really. He was fantastic and obviously so was Steph. Nice game by all of their big three. They can't be beat when they are all firing like that.

They just got out-shot to hell, nothing you can do. Cavs had 8 more attempts, 5 more free throws, grabbed one more board and 6 more steals. 17-6 offensive rebounds, they out played them in areas but shot 41%. Take out LBJ's line and they shot 33%. Not gonna cut it with GSW.

I expect a Batman vs. Superman type game between LeBron and Steph in Cleveland.

That's what the fans ordered, seems like they're gonna get it.

One thing I notice about LeBron's game is that he's a contact magnet and he knows 90% of the time he's gonna get the call against lesser opponents. He's smart for making sure "driving" stays apart of his game. That makes other players hesitant to stay on him & in front of him, meaning he can get his points any time, anywhere he wants. Same with James Harden, only difference is James isn't LeBron James.

But it's insane he will become the all-time playoff leading scorer. What a sick career. Makes me wonder what Steph's numbers would be if he didn't have to sit out years because of his ankle surgery.

curry's fragility is still a concern. honestly, he looked like had trouble moving laterally up until the last couple of games. lebron just always looks the same out there. it's why he's going to have all the playoff records in the end. curry's going to continue to have little injuries that slow him down at this time of year, imo.

I'm loving that Love is playing really well, putting up 22/12 so far. Squashes the narrative that he's just a role player and lebron has no help. In fact, that's better than 2009 Pau Gasol. Hill's stats are close to Odom's and the rest of the rosters compare pretty closely.

But he also has JR Smith to take it all away.

    Well a couple things.

    1. Love isn't really playing as well as Gasol did.

Love- 21.5 points,11.5 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, 0.5 block, shooting 42.5% from the field.
Gasol- 18.6 points, 9.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 0.8 steals, 1.8 blocks, shooting 60% from the field.

Has the edge in points and rebounds, but Gasol was far more effective defensively in 09 and staggeringly more efficient.

    2. George Hill isn't really playing as well as Odom did.

Hill- 11 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, 1.5 steals, 0.5 blocks, 38.9% from the field.
Odom- 13.4 points, 7.8 rebounds, 0.8 assists, 1 steal, 1 block, 54.2% from the field.

Odom also came off the bench for his production, but again far more efficient than George Hill.

    3. Where's everyone else?

That Laker team also had Andrew Bynum, Derek Fisher, and Trevor Ariza. Hell even guys like Shannon Brown, Jordan Farmar, and Luke Walton were at least useful. These Cavs feature role players like Tristan Thompson, JR Smith, and Jordan Clarkson.

JR Smith- 7.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, 26.3% from the field and 30% from deep. JR is playing the second most minutes on the team.
Jeff Green- 6.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, 3 assists, 0.5 steal, 31.3% from the field, 12.5% from deep. Game 7 hero in Boston.
Jordan Clarkson- 3 points, 2 rebounds, 0.5 assists, 1 steals, 0.5 blocks, 23.1% from the field, 0% from deep. Trade a 1st round pick for this?
Tristan Thompson- 6.5 points, 5 rebounds, 0 assists, 0 steals, 0.5 blocks. Might be the only decent role player, but not a rim protector.
Kyle Korver- 2 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 0.5 block, 15.7% from the field, 25% from deep. The savior from the Boston series.

09 Trevor Ariza- 11 points, 6 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.8 steals, 0.2 blocks, 35.7% from the field, 41.7% from deep.
09 Derek Fisher- 11 points, 3 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.2 steals, 50% from the field, 43.8% from deep.
    09 Andrew Bynum- 6 points, 4.2 rebounds, 0.6 assists, 0.4 steals, 0.6 blocks, 36.4% from the field.
09 Luke Walton- 3.8 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 0.2 steals, 80% from the field, 0% from deep. Out playing former All-Star Kyle Korver.
09 Jordan Farmar- 3.4 points, 1.2 rebounds, 0.4 assists, 0.4 steals, 36.8% from the field, 12.5% from deep. Our 8th best player is better than Clarkson.

    This Cavs team sucks.

Really curious of the big lineup Cavs went to with Lebron at point. THey brought the lead down to five.

They just don't have the defenders and scorers to match up. They need two of Curry/Klay/KD to have bad shooting nights and a ridiculous game from Lebron to even have a chance.

Livingston and Javal are outplaying any of the Cavs role players.

My sentiments exactly. It would be great for Love to resurrect his career somewhere else or maybe after Lebron leaves, if he leaves, maybe it can be resurrected in Cleveland.

I agree about the rosters. I would say the only difference is that our team actually played defense.

Did you not see the empirical statistical evidence saying otherwise? :D

This Cavs team is nowhere near that Laker team. I don't understand why that's still a discussion even, they're not even close. This is one of the worst Finals rosters (outside of LeBron) that I've ever seen. I know it's fun to hate on LeBron and all that, but it's the flat out truth that these other players are not good and any talent they have is not being exhibited.

You're mostly right. I just wouldn't say the cavs roster sucks. Love is a true Allstar beta to lebron (through 2 games at least). And the roll players are meh. They're playing pretty good defense and run a good offense, do despite not having great individual numbers, they're contributing to team success with good screens, ball movement, offensive rebounds etc. The warriors are just light years better.

This is by far their best series, I won't deny that. But Love is basically their only real player outside of LeBron. George Hill is beyond his prime and in over his head. The rest of the team has been awful for nearly the entire playoffs with a flash here and there from Green, Korver, or Hill, but mostly nothing. When JR Smith is your second minutes leader, that's wildly telling about the talent on this roster.

Oh for sure. It's only been two games. Maybe they revert back to the mean.
